Yes, the post season tournament is only meaningful to teams vying to get into the tournament on an auto bid or make a splash on a resume they couldn't build over a 40 game regular season.

It's pretty annoying listening to media types say the winner of this game is the Big XII champion too.

Yeah, they're enjoyable enough for the fans (normally). But McCullar sitting out this game to rest for Thursday tells you all you need to know about what this game actually means to this program (little to nothing).
