GOD WILL ALL OF YOU JUST SHUT UP?!?!

Smith is not that great, but he's not that bad. He's better than Cassel but he's not going to carry the team on his own.

That's it.

Smith sticking it in you hard, tool! :hump:

You mean that throw to Chad Hall where Charles was running wide open?

Feel free to take yo ass on outta this thread. You know what you will find in here, yet what? Can't stay away? You either secretly love this shit, or you have a real issue with your memory. :p

I wasn't able to watch the game live last night, but will catch up on DVR today.

I've only watched through Philadelphia's first TD so far. Main impressions:

1) It's nice to be pleasantly surprised by the Chiefs rather than disastrously disappointed. Benefit of having no real expectations coming into the season, I suppose.

2) The defense is actually really quite good. I didn't believe it would be better than mediocre before the season, and I think the main key is the way Poe has blossomed. But a fully healthy and comfortable Berry (finally living up to the hype, which was considerable) makes a big difference, and Sean Smith has been a nice, solid pickup.

3) I'm still leery about the offense. The OL still looks to be struggling, and Fisher sticks out more than most in that regard. Smith - at least so far in this game, from what I've seen - hasn't show anything more than in the previous two games.

I will continue to be skeptical/doubting of the offense and Alex Smith in general until shown more (and maybe that happens in this game, from the way it sounds). Sure has worked out well with the D, at least!

You are missing the point. The throw had to be perfectly thrown into coverage.... and it was. That's a gutsy ass throw... but what? NOW you want the safe throw? Oh, this irony is delicious!

I have some advice for you. It's clear that you want to prove that you're right and it means so much to you that you have to follow a QB that hate in order to do it. We know you will be thinking of him all night the moment he loses and will be smiling about it before you go to bed. The next day you will wake up with a smile and be on here the second you wake up. Posting stuff from your phone about how right you were. Do us and yourself a favor, save that time for something more positive. Go get a hobby, spend time with your loved ones, and most of all stop dumping on Alex Smith. Especially when your QB is playing the style of ball that won't even get them in the playoffs. If CK would stop turning the ball over you will see just how much better the 9ers would be.

Go hug someone, you'll feel better.

Pretty accurate, IMO.

Still don't think they can win in the playoffs with that type of performance at QB (still). All going to depend on the defense (is it top 10 good? Top 5 good? Top D in league good? Legendarily good?) and how much the OL/running game can improve.

Oh you mean the safe throw that was to a WIDE OPEN Charles who was literallly 3-4 yards from the end zone and could have walked in? Yeah....I wanted that one.

Alex Smith made some great throws last night....but he also made a couple of bonehead decisions.

So when he takes the easy, short throws, you bitch that he needs to be more aggressive and throw deeper. When he throws the more difficult, deeper throws, you bitch because you want him to throw the easy short ones. Got it!

Like when he decided to miss blocks and drop passes right? Or throw ints like Vick and fumble while getting sacked?

stevieray 09-20-2013 09:33 AM

welp, it's settled...no reason to watch another game...waste of time.

Don't quote me on shit I didn't say....dipshit.

That throw to Chad Hall wasn't a good decision. Just like that 3rd down throw to Jenkins wasn't a great decision.

Alex Smith is what he is....I've accepted that. He's not going to turn the ball over because he's not going to force it.

JENKINSWINS 09-20-2013 09:33 AM

Oh yeah I forgot, he also lined up incorrectly for costly penalties!

... and so you don't misunderstand.. I agree with your post here. Smith did get rattled at some points and make poor decisions (or way too much hesitation)...

He shares blame in some failed drives... sure.
