DET was the 5th best offense last year. And Goff was the 3rd best QB vs. the blitz in 2022 as well. Big reason for that is the fact that they have the 5th best OL in the league, and the 11th best rushing attack. This isn't the same old Lions anymore. No, Goff isn't elite, but he doesn't have to be either, if that OL holds up again this year., and their defense's upgrades pan out. |
I say set Kelce for precautionary reasons. Not having Kelce and Jones will actually be a silver lining/blessing in disguise specifically only for this game because it is the Lions who are a much improved team but...... it's the Lions(previous reputation) It will prevent a SB hangover and that 'previous Lions reputation' from setting psychologically in IMO. Because now everyone especially the backups including Pat will have to be xtra focused realizing they have a couple of their 'big guns' out of order. But it will create a huge opportunity for these backups to capitalize and be trusted and developed more for the future.
Lions will not be a pushover that is for sure. Not having Kelce or Jones and a win only adds to Mahomes's Legend. |

I think clay's projection is realistic. Probably see him week three. Injured my knee recently, feels like it's gonna be hurting the rest of my life. I'm 49, not fat but not an athlete. Kelce is a golden god. He's only an inch taller than me and outweighs me by 75 lbs and all of that is muscle. 2 weeks from the injury.

Pelisserio says they’re gonna work him out this morning and see

Play the long game. The main thing still is the main thing...Win a SB. |

Sounds like he'll be put out there as a distraction to pull the middle of the field away from the target. A Reid special with injured players who want to play. He'll catch an easy TD tonight after broken coverage as per usual.
