Taylor: 22 in 398

That's actually more than I would have expected, but Pat is also holding the ball an ungodly long time this year.

Hammock Parties 11-15-2023 09:40 AM

Taylor 10th in win rate, Smith 15th. Brown not listed LMAO

Yeah I don't think a Tackle should be marked with a pressure, QB hit or sacks if it happens after 3.5 seconds.

Some of these pressures were Patrick holding the back for 6 seconds LMAO

In terms of pass blocking, people on here complaining about our Tackles and O-line in general must be watching different games than I've been watching.

Mahomes has forever to throw, but whether it's due to a lack of talent in our WR group, or Mahomes not having confidence in them - or a combination of those two things - he's just not pulling the trigger.

dlphg9 11-15-2023 10:09 AM

Yeah, I've seen 0 problems with our O line.

This. If he tried holding the ball for 6 seconds with Brown at left tackle, he'd routinely get his dick knocked into the dirt.

That is true. I wonder what the cutoff time is before it becomes a product of the QB and not the Olineman.

Where do the tackles rank in penalties?

As a team, In Pass Block Win Rate, Chiefs are 1st at 77%. The gap between us and 2nd (Packers at 69%) is larger than the gap between 2nd and 8th (Texans 62%).

Now only if guys could get open...

JohnnyHammersticks 11-15-2023 12:16 PM

O-line is giving Mahomes the 7th longest Time to Throw in the league, and I'm actually surprised it isn't even higher. But just reiterates that our O-line is not the problem this year. They're giving him an average of almost 3 seconds to throw on every drop back.

Also shows how bad Deshaun Watson has been. Most time in the NFL to throw, but he's still in the bottom third of the NFL in most of the meaningful passing stats.

This Next Gen website is pretty cool if you haven't checked it out yet. You can get quite a bit of insight from playing around with it.

No.

O-line is fine. Anyone that says otherwise, meet me at the George Brett statue. (Probably wouldn’t hurt for the coaches to have more run blocking in practice. Especially with winter around the corner.)

Still bothers me that we've never considered Clowney as a low cost veteran addition, he's doing very well this year.

I agree that our OL is solid!
