See, this is the game many of you keep playing.

On one had, you just want to say "well that's what the NFL does", but it's so obvious that you think the punishment would fit the crime based on how you talk about the situation.

Stop making ridiculous predictions and tell us what YOU think he should get.

Indeed. But so is alcohol.

It doesn't need to be proven for Goodell to act on it. The previous poster had it right - Roger will assume he had weed in the lambo because he was high and that's also why he left the scene (not the worst of assumptions) and tag him with a DUI resulting in crash sort of suspension.

So 3-4 games.

And he should. We already have an example of a player killing someone racing on public streets. Luckily, no serious injuries but he has to make an example of Rice to stop players from racing on public streets.

KCUnited 04-05-2024 11:48 AM

Maybe he can avoid serious time if he voluntarily checks himself into rehab for his marijuana addiction

Probably 4. But if Goodell wants to make an example of him it'll be 6 or 8.

I say suspend him for the season. It’s one thing to drive reckless. It’s another to drive while under the influence. It’s yet another to leave the scene of an accident. Three strikes and you’re out!

I don’t really believe a full season is warranted. It’s a personal conduct issue and I’d say 4 games with an appeal to 2.

scho63 04-05-2024 11:52 AM

1. Racing on public highway AFTER the Ruggs debacle - 2 games
2. Leaving scene of accident - 1 or 2 games
3. Weed / drinking likely involved - 1 game

I see minimum 4, maximum 6

That's my best guess.

1-2 games would be a blessing
8+ games would be discriminatory

Ruggs was driving 120+ down a residential side street, and we KNOW he was hammered. That isn't remotely the same thing.

And many porn sites now block anyone with a KS IP because of what's happening in Texas (I guess KS has followed Texas).

Porn sites feel that these laws infringe on their websites. Because when you're excited during wanking, you're not going to take the time to log in and verify your age.

The NFL will look at this as though he was driving under the influence and therfore he will most likely get 2-3 games.

Police can always ask for a blood test and he can refuse. In Texas looks like he would get an automatic 1 year drivers license suspension if he refuses. Most states have that law. Better than a DUI though.

Easier trick.

"I will blow when my attorney is present..."

Now it only works if you're borderline and if you're attorney is smart enough to realize that he's gonna have to have a 'flat tire' whilst en route.

But it should buy you an hour or so. And you don't have to take the refusal to blow beat. But you'd better be sure you're borderline...
