Could be. I'm not sure you can question their toughness right now, although they can most certainly come out soft, but they can definitely deal with tough physical teams.

Feeling like you can beat even the most toughest team when pushed certainly isn't a bad thing for confidence. The mental gains coming out of a win like that probably outweigh the bumps and bruises incurred.

What you worry about is a team that seeks to hack and play physical but gets hot (see UNI).
A physical defensive team with some actual skill basically, so somebody like Wichita State. I'm still not sure whether they'll make it today (Lunardi seems to think it's a lock), but I'd like to avoid them for sure.

Right now, Bracketology has KU, OU, and WVU seeded to make it out of the first weekend, which sounds about right... I wouldn't trust Baylor or ISU to do so. I think WVU is a bit of a risk because their style probably gives them a bit of an advantage in the 2nd game of each weekend, yet they have to get past the first. Hopefully OU and of course Kansas can make a run, I'd like to keep watching both for at least a few more games.

I really need the KU game to be late Thursday.

Man, WSU's only good win is Utah at Koch and Utah got ****ing buzz sawed by Oregon. Bad. It was 60-30 with 9 left in the game. I know it's just one game but it's the last one. I have to think that will at least creep into the committees mind.

I really want WSU to do well. They're easy to root for and Baker is legitimately a good kid. If hate to have them miss it his senior year after what he's been a part of. But, because I live in this town I really can't afford to have them play KU.

I don't particularly care about this first game. It shouldn't be worth watching. And if it is worth watching to your average fan I'll be really, really glad I'm not watching it.

This.

when I used to have a normal job I would save two vacation days purely for March madness opening round.

Not that watching while at work in hushed exhilaration isn't also a tradition...

Yeah. My line of work dictates that I be at work some of these days anyway.

I haven't worked the opening two days of march madness in like 5 or 6 years. My coworkers are starting to cramp my style and are trying to do the same thing now.

I put these days off in on January 2nd.

Mason really turned it around after his January struggles. Maybe his over-use (minutes) wasn't a factor after all. Graham has become otherworldly the past month. These two have taken us from good to great by themselves. Hope it continues a couple more weeks

Congratulations to the number 1 overall seed :thumb:

I wouldn't say by themselves. I think Lucas had something to do with that.
