Based on what evidence? There's no danger to your heart in losing weight quickly.

You're taking strain OFF of your heart, lowering your cholesterol and blood pressure at the same time.

Where do people get this stuff?

Redundant words are redundant! ;)

Wow. In my experience women have so much shit in their heads when it comes to health. It's absurd.

Anything that seems "extreme" is bad to them.

I was pretty sure it was BS. Its not like I am losing weight due to an eating disorder I am just controlling my calorie intake.

LOL, so I didn't go back to the gym yesterday. I went today though. 5 days out of the gym, and I ate whatever I wanted whenever I wanted for those 5 days. Weight gain? 14lbs. 2 different scales. No, I did not eat the 13,500 calories a day it would've taken to do that. Probably half that though.

Hammock Parties 06-20-2010 05:00 PM

What the hell, how can you gain 14 pounds in 5 days?

I'm disappointed in you, man.

But...tell us what you ate anyway.

Silock 06-20-2010 05:10 PM

If you can gain 10 lbs in one day, 14 lbs in 5 days is certainly possible.

Remember, you fluctuate a lot just in one day, so I'm not surprised.

Remember: You can't control how much you weigh today, but you can control your next meal.

Just got back from an odd Sunday workout. Didn't go yesterday, so I made it up today. FTW.

Don't be. It ultimately means nothing. That weight will be gone very quickly. I ate ridiculousness. Pizza, ice cream sundaes (I used lower calorie stuff, but ate 5 gallons at a time), burgers, you name it. I went on health hiatus and have zero regrets. I didn't track the calories, nor thought about it while I was doing it. I fasted 24 hours today and I'll probably do it again to tomorrow and another time or two this week.

Exactly. I figure half of that will fall off in water weight from high doses of sodium in the next couple of days. It was a conscious decision throughout the 4 days. I thought it was 5, but my bodybugg says it was 4. I'd been struggling for the last few weeks and decided to get it out of my system, hopefully anyways. So far so good. :)

I know for a fact the 4 days out of the gym was good for me. I've pushed and pushed and pushed this year and between the 3 days I took a month and a half ago or so from my achilles, I figure I'm plenty of rested up now. Time to push for that half marathon. No reason I shouldn't be able to run that by the end of summer.

I enjoyed myself, but it's good to be back. :D

I guess it's different for me. It would take me a long time to lose 14 pounds.

14 pounds of weight, not so long. 14 pounds of FAT, yes, long time.
