To be fair from 1989 to 2001, it wasn't the best time to be drafting QBs in the first round especially in our draft position. Todd Marinovich, Tommy Maddox, etc.

Now from 2001 on is when have really ****ed up.
Brees, Rodgers, Flacco, Sanchez, Freeman, etc.

Tyson Jackson is starting to hit his stride as a 3-4 DE and doing well - the pick of him as a player by itself isn't / wasn't an issue. What was an issue is where in the draft he was taken ( 3rd overall ?!?! ). Even moreso, its taken a 3-4 DE without spending complimentary picks or acquiring a free agent / trade for a really good NT or more LBs. KC is basically playing a 2-2, with a weak link at nose and two LBer positions. But probably the worse factor was that a 3-4 DE was not the biggest need for the team - and that's the most damning part of that pick. Even a really good 3-4 DE is not going to impact your team the way other positions could.

KC needs to clean house - new GM, new HC, and new QB. Just start over.

No, they dont.

Pioli needs to admit a mistake in Cassel and move on, only way he needs to be gone if he doesnt.

New QB, decent OC, average RT and the Chiefs are good football team. We don't need to start over, we need to fix thee few problems.

Beat me to it. But if we know Todd, he'll say fuggit and throw Scott under the bus anyway.:)

Wish we could fast-forward 3 years and start discussing who will replace Pioli and McDaniels when they inevitably get canned after 3 more miserable seasons. No coach worth a damn is going to work under Scott Pioli, because they all know that Pioli is an insufferable egomaniac, can't evaluate talent, and will micro-manage them to death and then stab them in the back.

I don't care about Haley getting fired. No one who conducts themselves as immaturely as he did will ever be a good leader of men. Josh McDaniels acted the same way in Denver, but Pioli will hire him anyway because he'll be able to control McDaniels, and Pioli is a control freak. Pioli has been a disaster, in my opinion. A complete failure. The healing of this sorry ass franchise won't even start until Pioli gets fired, and what are the chances Clark will get the next hire right? 10 percent or less?

Clark is totally gonna try out this whole GM'ing thing so he can write himself a check.

ATTENTION: SCOTT PIOLI & CLARK HUNT

FROM: A 33 Year Season Ticket Holder

$32 MILLION UNDER THE SPENDING CAP? TYLER PALKO AT QB? TOSS SWEEPS TO JACKIE BATTLE?......REALLY?.....

ENOUGH IS ENOUGH CLARK! Its time you stop gouging the loyal season ticket holders of this town. At the conclusion of the final home game, you and Scott should be wearing Santa hats and handing out refund checks to all season ticket holders at the exits. You ROBBED US AGAIN!... Make my check payable to MIKE MASON (P.S. – I want a free hot dog too!)

DO THE RIGHT THING CLARK! ------------------------- I DON’T THINK JACK HARRY IS TOO HAPPY EITHER!

He IS the reason - he's the guy who hired Pioli.

To be fair, 3 years ago EVERYBODY thought that Scott Pioli was God's gift to Football.

On a side note, I'm looking forward to the cluster**** that is Muir calling plays the rest of the year now that Todd is gone.

Should be comical.

Actually I am now totally rooting for us to lose out and at least secure a high draft position. I was a supporter of Haley's enough to not want him fired yet. But that ship has sailed. All I want from the rest of the season is hopefully to see and evaluate Stanzi on the field, and to end up with a good draft position.

How is it that the KC sports media (judging by the posters here) are populated with only ball-less reporters and rumor mongers? Really. What makes them afraid of Pioli or Carl Peterson?

Well then I may have missed her post forfeiting it.

Just say Scott Davis, or Al Pioli.

I agree. Hell, if Pioli just cuts Cassel and does all he can to get us one of the top 3 QBs, I think Chiefs fans will say "ok he has ****ed up at times but this is him fixing it" and give him a chance again. Sticking with Cassel only cements his failure.
