Yes, its been well established that until harbaugh took over in 2011, that offense was considered a nuisance in san francisco. What did they average in 2011 with a mediocre qb, a tight end, and a half of a receiver?

Sean Smith deal

3 years/18 million

11 million guaranteed

I haven't been following this thread, and I'm sure this post flows naturally from conversation, but how the **** have we started talking about Alex Smith in a thread about a newly signed cornerback?

Nate Eachus will be back with the Chiefs according to his brother.

If Alex Smith stinks it up this year, it won't matter who's right or wrong because he'll be gone by the end of 2014.

Or, far more likely, he'll Cassel it up.

He'll mostly suck but generally play just above Total ****ing Failure for the next couple years, and even flash a couple times just when you thought the team and fanbase couldn't take him anymore, and he'll get another 8-game grace period.

Rinse repeat.

A thoroughly Routt-ian contract.

Hey Direckshun, what do you think about our secondary situation now? I still think we need more depth. I have seen where Flowers is injured and our CB position is reeling.

What exactly is the idea of suck here?

Hes going to have a high completion percentage, hes not going to turn the ball over, he generally wont take risks, and at the end of the day he will throw for 220 yards 2 tds, and no ints. Thats suck to you?

thats been him MO for the last two years.

Sean Smith is our #2. Anyone that thinks differently is not looking at the facts of the signing correctly. You may not agree, but he's the #2.

I think it's hilarious anyone thinks Alex Smith could be Trent Green 3.0 though.

No shit. I'm finding this constant negativity tiresome. We have sucked for years. We were an embarrassment. A big ****ing joke. I'm done with the negativity. Going to start a thread.

Sorry BRC, but it's really, really hard to be positive about a guy like Alex Smith after 4 years of Matt Cassel.

We're going to be asking the defense and running game to win games...again. Because those are literally the only reasons Alex Smith has ever had a winning season (one time).
