I am hoping Kelce can be that extra target to force more attention his way. Of course, he has to show something at this level first. If Kelce can be a very good TE at the pro level? then he, Bowe, and Charles would really keep defenses busy. AND, if they can manage to add in a very solid WR other than Bowe?

It's a fairly similar arsenal for Alex. Kelce isn't Vernon Davis yet, but he may turn out to be a similar threat. Bowe is an upgrade to Crabtree. Charles is clearly a stud back and at this point. better than Gore. Now just have another WR step up as the #2 (which should be easy, as SF had mediocre guys), and KC can surprise folks.

:)

Well, yes. He's goddamned huge. Two yards or so in bounds will allow him to tap his toes even if a DB gets a push on him after the catch.

The overall point I'm making is that Alex will throw a safe directional pass, which he loves, because its either a jump ball catch, or its out of bounds if Baldwin misses it.

My great-grandmother could have safely picked Berry in that draft. And if you believe Houston was anything other than ass-over teakettle for Peeholi, well...

That is 230 lbs that high up in the air. A 190 lb CB has no chance against that. (And Mark Castle couldn't hit a target like that.)

You wouldn't have had anyone to throw it to him so, there is that.

.

Every receiver in the NFL needs to be able to make quick cuts.

If you can't do it you're not gonna be very useful.

hmmmm, maybe maybe not. Maybe if we had drafted Julio, then the next year we would of made that trade for RG3......or at least I can hope. Or just drafted Tannehill.

Eh. I don't know about that. Megatron doesn't make quick cuts. Randy moss, never made quick cuts. Its way more about route running, than Cuts.

Its about if you are a bigger guy, like Plaxico Burress, its about using your size to shield. Its almost physically impossible for big receives ala Art Monk, Herman Moore, Megatron, Randy Moss, to make quick cuts.....

CoMoChief 07-26-2013 12:51 PM

Baldwin can be a Vincent Jackson kind of player if put into positions where he can down the field 1 on 1 with a DB and just play jump ball.

Wrong on both counts.

You know how you become a great route runner?

Quickness.
