Not sure I really follow this signing. I guess if Andy gets the best out of him.. only thing that I can think of is they don't know when Sammy will actually play/be at full strength.

He’s day to day

I argued with somebody yesterday because they thought that Kelvin was better than Watkins and Conley. Conley is debatable. But definitely not Watkins. But this same guy believes that the Cowboys will sign Kareem Hunt and he will take them to the Super Bowl this year..

Wait, what? Why would they do that? They have this one super badass RB named Elliott.
I guess the downside is an untimely drop or hindering Conley and Robinson from developing. I still think both have room to grow, especially with a guy like Mahomes.

Conley has shown his maximum abilities/potential at this point, but Robinson should definitely get more targets and be more involved in the offense.

I guess he believes they are one more RB away from the trophy? no idea what his thought process is.

Elliot has had domestic violence issues I the past, so he is a risk of it happening again.

Maybe he means sign him and play as a 3rd WR alongside Cooper and Beasley?

Fat Kelvin is in the Jon Baldwin first rounder category.

very strange move, would much rather have had CJ anderson

So replace him with another RB that has had violence issues in the past?

Robinson isn't showing it in practice or he'd have already supplanted Conley.

Conley has been rock solid this year. Numbers aren't huge, but his catches have mostly been extremely significant in one way or another.

They should then sign Ray Rice and OJ Simpson and have their version of the Four Horsemen of the Domestic Violence Apocalypse backfield.
