Do I know that because he had the best overall team in football around him in 2011 and he couldn't get it done? (Though they did beat the mighty, mighty Saints in the playoffs, wow!) |
Smith doesn't even attempt 75% of those passes.
|
Quote:
... and he couldn't get it done? Was he supposed to field the punts to avoid the muffed ones too? ****ing people here have lost their minds. Truck-loads of intellectual dishonesty all to twist some reeruned point they cling to. Ass-clown. :doh!: |

So who are you over on the WZ? I feel more and more certain you are InHarbsWeTrust now... since you constantly whine about mod-abuse on both sites and would hate Smith enough to register here with the clear butthurt evident and given to you by the "fanboys." is that you? or do you still not have the guts to say? |
It'll be interesting to see how the hoodie plays him. This will be a tough test for Geno from a scheme perspective. He'll have to move Db's with his eyes and really go through his progressions. Should be interesting to watch.

The TRUTH is you make a LOT of excuses for such a marginal player. Why? |
Quote:
Excuses are a funny thing. I have seen the Geno lovers make excuses for their boy. I have seen the Kaeperscuses... I have seen the excuses for Romo, Cam Newton, damn near every QB. As I say... if you like the QB? excuses turn magically into legit reasons for struggles. If you don't like the QB? those legit reasons turn magically into excuses. That's just the way it is.. the way it has always been. Welcome to the hypocritical world of message board agendas. |

I have to admit, I cant stand this guy (I use to like him until draft day) and Im for one glad he isnt our QB. I'll also admit, that it probably clouds my view of him as far as how good he is going to be. I think hes going to fail miserably, but Like I said, it could be just be becasue I cant stand this dude. I tihnk hes a little punk. I hope he gets plowed like a prison bitch tonight. |

The Center you are a little tough on. Goodwin was signed for his experience but he is still OK physically. Just looks much worse next to Iupati. 2011 Power Rankings http://espn.go.com/nfl/powerrankings/_/year/2011/week/1 26. 49ers Braylon Edwards was probably supposed to be the WR in the role Moss played. Outside guy. Crabtree's foot was a problem again and was unable to practice. Josh Morgan had shown himself at least a competent WR. Braylon got hurt in week 2. Out a month. Was in a few games after that and then was cut for performance or whatever issues with the team. Josh Morgan broke his leg in week 5. Crabtree you hoped would emerge in his 3rd year. http://www.footballdocs.com/WR_three_year_rule.html He was still up and down in 2011. Forced into the #1 WR role while he is not that prototypical guy didn't help and to be kind he comes across as not the smartest guy so probably not quick to pick up the offense. Vernon Davis quiet year is more on both him and the coaches. Vernon never developed into a natural TE but even still what he can do in the passing game wasn't implemented enough. A team with that level of question with the pass targets is gonna have issues no matter the QB. http://i.imgur.com/3OF79.png And Frank Gore is a great back but he is a grinder. He is not like Jamaal Charles or McCoy or AP who can cut the throat of a defense or flat out dominate. Look at the final power rankings in 2011. GreenBay and New Orleans were still the top 2 NFC teams. |

He licked the balls and everything. |
Drive by drive, geno and Alex's games look similar, yet poo poo on Alex?

Now on top of that we have irrational love of yet another Jets QB because you know we really messed up the last time this all went down. We could have had buttfumble. |

I understand that it was your first win as a pro after you battled the incumbent and media all preseason long and it was a big deal, but you won that game on a goddamn cheap penalty and a kick. A little more humble might be in order versus standing on a chair in a Jesus Christ pose. |

A lot of guys do that self-deprecating "am I good or what" kind of thing after something happens to them that could be construed as lucky or unlikely. Based on the comments I heard after the game, I don't think he thinks he walks on water or anything. To me, it just looked like he was screwing around after an exciting win.
Edit: It's not like he said he graded out perfectly after the game or anything. |
Quote:
Interesting you bring up Crabtree. Funny how he "emerged" once he got a new QB. He also "emerged" with Troy Smith a lesser QB. I hope for your sake that Smith plays well because if he doesn't...the excuses will be magical. You put down everyone around Smith but then refuse to view him with the same critical eye. |
Quote:
It's showboating for no other reason than showboating. You see Brady or Manning or Montana or guys like that doing it? And he's doing it after a penalty and kick win the game. Not cool. |

Quote:
He was standing on the bench trying to see the game winning field goal. Then his teammates came over to congratulate him, and started worshiping him for some reason. LMAO There's nothing douchey about it. He didn't climb up there to showboat. |

Geno threw the ball down the field. Geno had ZERO running game. Geno actually had to do something in pressure packed situations to win. Twice. |
This thread is going to be epic if the Jets win tonight. I just hope there is never a single penalty against the Patriots or else people will be saying the game was given away.

His only td drive was set up by his defense. So that doesn't count right? |

I expect a poor game from Geno tonight, so I'm prepared for your backlash. Probably three turnovers and no more than 1 TD.
Just bring it on. This is a marathon, not a sprint. |

My point is, Im not going to lie, like everyone else, including you: I cant stand that guy and he can't do anything right in my eyes and I hope he tanks. I hope he gets bitch slapped every single week. I'm being as Transparent as transparent gets. Unlike you when it clear you love the guy, want him to desperately give it to you in the pooper and he can do no wrong in your eyes. Im just the complete opposite and Im being completely honest about it. |

You don't like facts. Crabtree 09-11 dropped 1 pass for every 8 he caught. https://www.profootballfocus.com/blo...ide-receivers/ Crabtree 2012 dropped 1 pass for every 15 he caught. http://espn.go.com/blog/nfcwest/post...es-for-no-1-wr His role in the offense adjusted. Quote:
And your BS make-believe fact you pulled out your butt about how Troy Smith allowed Crabtree to emerge. In 6 games Crabtree totaled 19 catches for 344 yards |
31 yard td drive set up by int.
Punt, punt, punt, 13 play 55 yard drive (really chucked it downfield there), fumble, int, td on 31 yard drive, punt, punt, punt, fg 65 yard drive, punt, fg. So he essentially had 1 good drive? |

As far as pretending Geno is a Chief....... I just don't have it in me to type what I'm thinking. There are just too many ways to go with that one. Dinny |

But Geno forced that defenders hand because he's a scrambling threat. They failed to knock him out of bounds earlier in the game and it resulted in a first down. But homers don't care about that. Nor do they care about the fact that Geno had to run 30 yards to draw the penalty. |

Crabs had BETTER numbers that year with Troy Smith. He had more touchdowns with Troy than he did with Alex. Smith does not push the ball downfield and doesn't throw to receivers who are NFL "open" that explains the meager numbers receivers have had with him. This isn't ****ing rocket science. It's OK to admit that other QB's are more successful than he as with other players. Are you his mother? Stop protecting him like he's your child. |
I think it's hilarious when Genos haters are all like "I liked him until the draft"
Hahahhahaha Yeah, that basically says "I liked him until he wasn't gonna be a Chief, now I want his babies to die of aids cancer" FFS, people are running around the forum acting like some here need to apologize about disliking Alex Smith because he had an AVERAGE game with less than 200 yards of offense while facing the worst team in the league...but will stop at nothing to try and discredit Geno beating a team that is FAR SUPERIOR TO JACKSONVILLE IN EVERY WAY while putting up over 300 yards of offense and being his teams leading rusher. |

|
The dude is not gun shy at all. He itches to let the Choco Cannon fire.
Also, the guy has done a tremendous job transitioning to playing under center. I honestly thought the speed of the game was going to be too much for him this year, and it looked that way in preseason. But by the second half Sunday he looked like he had adapted. I didn't even show one GIF of a play where the Bucs sent a huge blitz and he calmly flipped the ball out for a first down to the hot read. GENO |
Keep up the Geno gifs clay. =)
Thanks! |

I can understand you not liking some of his antics on the sidelines, and the draft...
but. Quote:
As he gets more experience, he is going to get more cocky... (Tom Brady gets pretty damn cocky too if you watch). So I expect you to hate him more... because he's just going to get more comfortable behind center. I wish people besides 49er fans hated our QB... but Alex Smith doesn't scare anyone. |
Quote:
BTW, Im from So Cal, and I get asked all the time how did I become a Chiefs fan? One of the biggest reasons?? I ****ing hated John Elway so much that I wanted him crushed as often as possible, and I became a fan of KC one game in the early 90s becasue they did just that! I also knew Stephon paige and had a good friend who was KC fan, but Elway getting almost killed one game by KC defense made me hop on the bandwagon, and I havent left. I HATED Elway, and he was a pretty damn good QB. |
