Agree on the Sativa vs. Indica differences being made up. It's more about the individual profile: THC and CBD levels, terpenes, and when harvested and how cured.

As a home grower, I've stayed mostly consistent with the same varieties from the same growers. I've noticed uniformity across seed purchases when from the same grower. It doesn't happen often, but when I do come across the same strain from a different grower (usually freebies), I have noticed that each will be unique. Some similarities but also some differences. So, I wouldn't think it unusual to have the same strain vary across dispensary purchases, especially if they are from different growers.

Not sure what I'll be smoking this 420. I'm getting pretty bored with what's in the jars right now, as most of it is second generation, from clones of previous grows. I'm getting hyped about the next harvest, though, as I started from seed and went old school. Acapulco Gold and Pineapple Express II are looking real good. Also have a Super Lemon Haze and a new try, Ghost Train Haze, supposedly one of the strongest strains with THC levels in the upper 20s. That one is not looking good, though, probably my fault (nutrient burn is the likely culprit). But I took a couple clones before switching her over, so next grow I'll hold back on the nutrients.

I use the 420 method. 4 day getting high 2 days off and it seems to work for me.

I'm very emotional.

Pot is too good these days. It'd be cool to be able to roll a fatty and actually smoke the whole thing with a couple buddies taking up 15-20 minutes of time and just some good old enjoyment. These days it's like two hits off a bowl and you're done. I've reached the point where when I go to the dispensary I'm telling the Bud Tender that I don't want the strongest strain I want something I can actually sit and smoke. It's like the days of wake & bake with a cup of coffee. You take one hit and you're baked and while that's cool in a way it takes away the actual enjoyment of the smoking process.

Heading out to Vegas for a few days. Staying at Planet Hollywood. Who has a good recommendation on a close dispensary or one that does delivery?

The indica sativa part is definitely true. I’ve smoked daily for over 25 years and I could never feel any difference between indicas and sativas. And TRUST me … I’ve experienced about every THC high imaginable 100s of times. It always kills
me when I hear some kid (that hasn’t even been on the planet as long as I’ve been smoking) tell me about how I don’t know what I’m talking about.

Yeah we need to hang out. You have excellent taste. I might be weird but I do NOT like the purple strains. They don’t get me nearly as high and I feel like the stems are embedded in the buds so you can never get them 100% cleaned out.

It seems like the old geezers in this thread shit on that idea. But, I can tell a big difference between the two.

I smoked all the time back in the day when you could get serious jail time for smoking. You'd get that damn ditch weed every once in a while where no matter how much you smoke you couldn't get high. I quit because I got work where I was tested all the time. Now, I'm back to smoking weed.

I'm not using it for just recreation so my opinion may be different but Sativa just seems to go for the high and Indica is going for the mellow high.

They are all over the place. I just got back and went to the phish show at the sphere Thursday. You can even buy psychedelic mushrooms in gummies and suckers.

Most definitely bredda! Gonna post the stuff I get at the dispensary in JA, when I go in June.

This is a common sense decision, something our politicians struggle to do.

Its easier, so much easier, to get mass acceptance for rereation after you've gotten it for medical.

This is an obnoxious step that makes it easier to get everyone on board.

Also, every rec state will have a law like CO. Where with a push of a button all rec weed is classified as medical. Just in case someone sits in that Office who wants to draw more lines.

KCMO Dispensaries
 

Any recommendation for dispensaries in KCMO? Looking to check out 1 or 2 when I visit end of July. A couple stood out based on my digging online:

• From the Earth
  
• Greenlight Missouri

How do the Missouri dispensaries compare to other states? I've only checked out Colorado and Arizona. Colorado definitely seems the crème de la crème, but then again I've only been to a handful of dispensaries. Flower, concentrates, and edibles on the shopping list.

Florida Kush & Fruit Gusher

I shop at High Profile formerly The Farmers Wife. It's really close and pretty much the perfect location in the strip it's located in. There's the golf equipment store, massage parlor, dispensary and a bar.

Having worked in the trades, smoking and drinking a few beers was lunch on most days.

After the Superbowl this year, the one won by my favorite team, the Kansas City Chiefs, I decided to go dry for awhile. I still smoke, but I haven't had a drink since February 13th. This is the longest I've gone without a drink since I was in my mid 20's. I may have a few here and there during the season, but then again, I haven't had the urge to drink at all, so I may just be done drinking for good.

When last up in KC I bought some KC Cush and bought a Tyson preroll,just as a **** it. The KC Cush is by far my favorite and the Tyson blunt was grade A. Both were super chill.

Now on my cheap ass instead of buying 1/8 of KC kush for $40 I’ve been buying KC Chiefin’ for $20. The worst bud I’ve gotten in a dispensary.

Moved away from KC (Leawood) in July 2017. Had returned a few times (including January 2020 AFC Championship hosting Tennessee). Got to enjoy first visit back post-recreational legalization end of last month.

Both From the Earth and Greenlight were great experiences.

Stocked up first on flower (2x 7g of GMO, and 1x 7g of Clementine), and carts. Then stocked up on wax (3x 1g of a variety), which I've heated up with the Starship torch.

Got a couple of my favorite strains in flower form, and just now finished the live resin. All I'm left with is the last cartridge. I shipped them to myself USPS to enjoy back home in Deep South Texas. Easy breezy.

Was pretty cool to hit up a dispensary in Martin City, just a short drive from my last KC home in the Leawood area. Add a Royals game (Patrick Mahomes bobblehead, no less), some unrivaled BBQ and other KC cuisine staples, and it was a successful trip to say the least.
