We didn't win all the rest of the years without the best team.

Point: the NCAA Tourney is actually quite fair in the long run.

Hard to say. Kentucky was a 1-seed, played for the NC (losing in OT), and led the nation in scoring margin at +22 vs our +18. I would argue that we may have been equal but I cannot say we were better.

In 2003 we led the nation in scoring margin and finished #1 in KenPom. We finished #1 in Sagarin's predictor and #2 overall I believe. That's good enough for me. I don't have good data for 1997 so I can't make arguments for them really.

True. Unfortunately for us, they have those big guys that can make 3s and therefore bring Withey out on the perimeter. :banghead:

I really hope we throttle them. But I doubt that even if KU wins it will be by more than 8-10 points.
