Damn it what do you call a player on the Heat?

Not good enough but gosh darn it he sure does try hard?

Getting CP3 for less than nothing (what Poole’s value is as a basketball player on that contract) means the Warriors sadly may not be done quite yet. Damn.

Not sure if this improves them or not. He is old and oft injured but they have had enough of Poole pouting and wanted to get out of that terrible contract.

Paul will probably be just fine as a 3rd man on the team.

How wouldn't it improve them? CP3 is one of the highest IQ players in NBA history and only has to play like 20 minutes a game for that team this year, while Poole was effectively unplayable in the playoffs (both due to his attitude and his defense) and probably has the worst contract in the NBA right now.

I'm taking whatever CP3 has left over Jordan Poole on a team with a window as small as theirs.

KC_Connection 06-22-2023 02:41 PM

BTW, I don't like the Marcus Smart deal either for Boston. They just made an already soft team exponentially softer.

It all comes down to whether he can stay healthy. He hasn't proven he can in a long time. Poole averaged 30 minutes a game last season so if CP3 is taking that role they need to cut his minutes drastically to try to keep him healthy. Steph is no spring chicken either.

Agreed but it is a great deal for Memphis. Their starting 5 when Morant get released from prison will be really good.

Porzingis to the Celtics but they gave up Marcus Smart. I'm not sure it's worth it.

Miles 06-22-2023 06:20 PM

They also got some picks back that could help them. Seems like they kind of had to do something vs. just running mostly the same team back.

POND_OF_RED 06-22-2023 06:55 PM

The best part of the smart deal is it puts to rest the Draymond Green rumors to the Grizz that was about to make me puke.

Smart is obviously an upgrade to Brooks simply because he knows his role and embraces it. I’m excited to see the defense next season. Got the past 2 DPOTY and one of the best offensive rebounders in the game if Adams can come back healthy.

Wtf does OKC need Cason Wallace for?

Could have gotten an elite shooter in Dick or Whitmore at #12

****in stupid

Sassy Squatch 06-22-2023 07:17 PM

Yeesh. Charlotte fans are Uber butthurt about the Miller pick.

smithandrew051 06-22-2023 07:33 PM

KCC has to like that
