DeVito is a fine signing, as is Fasano. I suspect we will have a deep threat before August. Alex Smith will be a good QB. And he will bring us much closer to the SB than G. Smith will ever take anyone.

You believe in slow steady progress? Why would you not believe in quick immediate progress? Many teams manage that in today's NFL. Why should Chiefs fans be resigned to slow steady progress?

For better or worse, I don't think you can ask that same fan base to endure even more losing seasons in an effort to develop a QB from the weakest draft class in recent memory.

That just wasn't going to fly.

"weakest class"? Fallacy. Straw man. Bullshit.

Theres nothing wrong with Haley as coord, especially when you have Mike "The Rock" Tomlin to keep his ass in check.

Meh, never been a fan of the Steelers. Re-Todd can f#*k things up over there all he wants.

Well, thats it. Even if we trade back and get a 2nd-round pick, we will not draft a QB in the first two rounds.

I don't see what the problem is...

How do you expect him to prove it when they haven't even played a game in the NFL yet? His comment is no more ridiculous than yours.

Bullfickingshit.

Roethlisberger was pissed all last season. Mike Wallace had his YPC cut in half and left. The Steelers went 8-8.

Haley was a failure, just like he was a failure in KC. Art Rooney II is clueless.

Well, considering just about everyone that follows the NFL (outside of this forum, of course) believes this is the weakest class in years, I'd say its far less ridiculous.

The mantra in this forum spread by a few people regarding QB's has not only been the most ****ing annoying thing in my 13 years on the 'Planet, there is literally NOTHING to support that position.

It was obvious to anyone that listened to the initial press conference along with interviews with Dorsey, Clark and Reid, that they were not drafting a QB earlymI the draft.

But people didn't want to hear it, made excuses, etc.

It's actually been quite bizarre to witness.

So back to Chase Daniel. Why did we just give a backup 3M per season? I really want to try and understand this. It's truly mind-boggling that we would do something so.....insane.

Miami paid Matt Moore $4 million per.
