I know you only scored a 13 on your wonderlic but this isn't that difficult to figure out. |

I mean seriously guys - this isn't pop warner. Your own livelihoods are on the line, let alone the livelihoods of your staff and teammates. If it took Marcus Peters getting benched for you to ****ing care, I think I'm gonna be pretty irritated about that. I honestly hope they get whacked around just as badly so we can confirm that this is a talent issue or even a scheme issue rather than an effort issue. Effort should be a foregone conclusion. |

How else do you explain Justin Houstons effort last Sunday? No tackles, just kind of pushing. I personally don't think it is a talent issue as much as it is a moral/attitude/coaching issue. These guys are all pretty young and have a lot of money. |

The number of flat out blown assignments and IMMEDIATE losses in the secondary was staggering last week. Guys weren't hanging with their assignment for long enough for the line to accomplish anything. When they were in zone, there was a breakdown pretty much every time where someone forgot what zone they were supposed to be in and suddenly you have two guys standing next to each other while a WR sat in a nice empty pocket for a 12 yard completion (with room to run). The secondary was a ****ing abomination last week. Just an absolutely embarrassing lack of awareness on virtually every play. |

Some players need more attention and looking after than others. Owens is the perfect example of that. I would cut bait with Peter's via trade and do it this off season. Coaches don't have time to constantly sit one player down for a chat all the time no matter how good they may be. Peter's isn't so good he's worth the trouble. We can get a good one from the draft that won't act like an idiot.

Because Imma need you to take a look at the history of drafted CBs in the NFL, even 1st rounders, and tell me there's even a 20% chance that we can just snag another one in the 2nd round who 'won't act like an idiot' and play the kind of football Peters was playing. It's the coaching staff's goddamn job to mold talent and get the most from it on the field. If your position w/r/t a coaching staff is "well he shouldn't have to handle his players idiosyncrasies" then I'm not sure why we have these massive staffs on hand. The Chiefs had better kick over every stone imaginable to see if Peters can be salvaged before they cut bait with him. That's a hell of a good football player when his mind is right. And if it takes extra effort to get him back on track, you put forth the extra effort because he's going to help you win a lot of football games when he's in the right place mentally. |

I will admit it is hard for me to follow all the dbs like you just described at game speed and that game pissed me off so bad I deleted the recording without watching it again. I watched Peters a lot and Houston. IIRC, Peters got burned bad early that led to their first TD. |
Andy had to do it because this team needs some discipline. Peters acts like a child and needs to be traded. If hope they are shopping him around. KC doesn't need a Marcus Peter's.
