She also didn't seem very optimistic he would be very effective.

Mitchell Schwartz was on 610 today and he was saying the old train of thought was to sit and rest all week until game day, then tape it up for the guy to play. Now though they get the guys out there pushing it and getting them to work on the ankle. He said that blood flow is the key to healing the injury and that the training staff will have him work it as much as possible, but not to a point that will make it worse.
Sounds like that "doctor" is spouting old shit that is no longer what is practiced. Sitting there doing nothing is the worst thing they could have him do.
