Dinny Bossa Nova 09-12-2013 01:42 PM

Geno is a JETS player. This is CHIEFS Planet.

I don't think there that many Geno "haters". I think there are people who don't actively pretend that Geno is a Chief and how dreamy it would be, but that doesn't make them Geno haters.

There are also people who don't care about and actively root for players on other teams to do better than players on the Chiefs team. That makes them Chiefs fans, not homers.

I would prefer the pimping of players of other teams and videos demonstrating how much better those players are than the players on the Chiefs team not crammed down my throat constantly when I'm trying to get my planet on, but that's just me. I'm not ashamed of that. I'm also not in control of the planet, and I've been hooked for 13 years, so I'll not be leaving forever.

My inability to pretend does not make me a homer. It does not make me reeruned. Pointing out that things don't always go just as I'd have it doesn't make me a whiner, it makes me a realist, and realists don't pretend.

The Jets fans were annoying in 2009. They are annoying now. And they are complaining about the 49ers fans. The Planet, it's a ball of confusion.

My bad. You make a good point. I seem to remember some offsides on the defense. One of them might have been a 3rd down. I remember the announcers saying something about the defense shooting themselves in the foot helping keep the Jets drive alive. Since the Jets would have likely succeeded on those plays, the question is obviously moot.

A thousand pardons,

Wishing and pretending our quarterback was someone else.

When my sister was in junior high, she and her friends would sit around and whine because those other girls get to have cute boyfriends, why can't we have cute boyfriends?

A few sessions with Dr. Denise Venetti would be very beneficial to some of these men.

Really? The dude is nothing but class in interviews. He accepts all the blame and talks about how much he can improve... consistently. This is not Matt Cassel grading out perfect.

As he gets more experience, he is going to get more cocky... (Tom Brady gets pretty damn cocky too if you watch).
So I expect you to hate him more... because he's just going to get more comfortable behind center.

I wish people besides 49er fans hated our QB... but Alex Smith doesn't scare anyone.

I appreciate the advice in #2883. I will give that some serious thought and offer some advice in return.

Maybe you should wish in one hand, and crap in the other. It might surprise you which one is easiest to fulfill.

Can't believe he has already done this in his first game.

It was these type of throws that won me over to the Geno bandwagon last year.

The guy has tremendous physical abilities and is very accurate throwing the ball, especially to the middle of the field. He already has cleaned up his mechanical issues quite a bit, from what I've seen of his performance Sunday.

Time will tell, but he's exceeding my expectations for him this year.

Also, is there any doubt which throw Alex Smith makes in that situation?

He's hitting the fullback, No.40, on the clear out-drag underneath the coverage. Probably for about 8 yards.

Yeah, there is lots of doubt. Alex Smith thrives on seam passes to the Tight end.

Sighs. Wins are all that matter dude. The sooner you understand that, and understand that im not advocating alex smith is an elite qb. he is a winning qb though.

At least we can still agree that Geno looked good, and should get better.

Alex Smith is fine for what he is. And the Chiefs are built well enough around him so that he doesn't have to do a ton of heavy lifting.

Oh, and I don't ENCOURAGE anyone to do anything.

I'll also admit, that it probably clouds my view of him as far as how good he is going to be. I think hes going to fail miserably, but Like I said, it could be just be becasue I cant stand this dude. The amusing thing about that throw is this... IF Alex were to make that throw? All we would hear is how Alex got his receiver killed by throwing that with the S coming over to level the receiver.

And when this ignorant fanbase FINALLY learns its lesson, it will still have the same influence on the players selected on draft day by the Kansas City Chiefs NFL franchise prior to the ****ing epiphany.

And this newfound knowledge coupled with $13.40US will get these enlightened fans a nice cup of something at Starbucks.

I'm grateful for ol' Hickory Penii, but the debate is Geno vs Axl. And right now, Geno is showing more as a rook than Axl. If we're just going by wins, whatever. That doesn't really tell the whole tale, does it?

So far....Alex has been more impressive. Now he hasn't played in week 2 yet [obviously] but he would really have to shit himself not to put up numbers better than 206 yards and 1 int. I am going to go out on a limb and say Alex throws for a couple of TDs..

One guy has dropped passes and you hate him, the other guy has drops and it's the receivers fault. Alex Smith has a better all around game and you hate him, Geno has a way worse game and he has potential...
