We'll never know if this line is truly the equal of that one because this line will never play in front of an immobile, weak armed but intellectually above average QB and below average skill position talent outside of TE. But I would suggest that it's entirely possible that they will be elite, and be elite very quickly barring serious injuries. The talent upside is absolutely there.

Think of it this way-Roaf was the best OT ever to play the game; but Brown may well function as well as Roaf did IN THIS OFFENSE. Would I trade Brown for a 24 year old Willie Roaf? No, but is there necessarily a FUNCTIONAL difference? Or with Thuney and Shields? Maybe there will be, and I'm just projecting my hopes. Probably there's some of that there. But I don't think that's out of the realm of possibility.

It'll always be an apples and oranges comparison, but I think while I'm being optimistic, not wildly so.
I'm optimistic about this offensive line, too, but I think you're forgetting that Eddie Kennison was a 1000 yard WR. No, I'm not saying he was as good as Tyreek. But he was definitely a serious threat.

I mean really hes an Oklahoma State product, or should have been. He would have been on a list with guys like Dez Bryant, Blackmon, and James Washington.

It's true. He was clearly a great talent and if not for the off-the-field issues he would have gone far sooner than the 5th.

I'm not a big college football guy but all of my step family are huge OU homers so i root for OK state during bedlam. When Tyreek ruined their lead with 30 seconds left on a KR i knew he was different. The dude had jets, and OU recruits at a high level and didnt have a guy on the field who could stay close.

How maybe the Chiefs should let him go after this year...he's not a long term answer because he's to slow and will just get slower. He's not playing 15 years especially not at LT and just on and on..

Then Clyde Edwards-Helaire is the drizzling shits at blitz pickup, great receiver but you can't use that when he's as bad at blitz pickup as he is.

Shawn Barber just gave a great player-side counterpoint on 610. Basically said he played with plenty of guys who didn't go all out in 7 on 7 or training camp, that worked on technique and things like that, and then were dominant during games.

It's a silly talking point. They're trying to whip up something but be negative/controverstial.

Yeah, I think it's because the Chiefs traded picks for him and in his mind you should never trade picks, period. In his mind, the Chiefs should have taken Liam Eichneberg or someone like that who was available (never mind that none of those guys were capable of playing LT or that Eichenberg is ending up at RG).
