Loved the "why aren't we running the ball?!?!?" narrative while simultaneously complaining about the Jags running the ball well with all of 10 points on the board... just for them to start passing and score a touchdown. Ya'll are watching the Titans failing to score by running the ball for 3 quarters, wondering why a team with Patrick ****ing Mahomes isn't doing the same thing.... and then the Jags start passing and score a touchdown. LMAO |
I heard no Duvalls on TV, Jax fans show up?

The Chiefs' defense was atrocious. We're not going to survive the championship game if this is the best we can do against the 9-8 Jags.
And the offense. Gosh Andy, could the offense look any more rusty than it did today? Why do you let them "rest" on a bye when it obviously does no good? Lastly, I feel like the Jags targeted Mahomes to get him out of the game. That pisses me off. |

Just 4/11 scoring drives/total drives, 36% 2/6 (31%) in the 2nd half, 1 TD and 1 FG. 1.81pts/drive for the game 1 INT, 1 fumble recovery. Both in the 2nd half Nice faceplant, dumbass!!!!:clap::clap: |

I don't get it. We've lived through Sutton and Greg Robinson. Our defense is not top 5 but people are acting like we're the 2003 Chiefs. We basically shut their offense down for the first 3 quarters except for one drive where we gave up a massive kickoff return. That's pretty good for any playoff game.

Chiefs defense was fine. Special teams cost the team 10 points. I understand that there are times that teams take chances and a DE vs WR1 is going to lose when the QB has time to make a play. What concerns me is that other teams seem to know what is coming and block.

Have you guys ever seen a national announcer(home team announcers and sportstalk hosts don't count) who loves a team more than Collinsworth loves the Chiefs? Madden in the 90's was pretty one sided and didn't hide his love for the Cowboys but I think Collinsworth's love for the Chiefs has him beat.

Great game.
Andy Reid has won two playoff games with Chad Henne |

No amount of scheming will change that. I have always said that my problem with Spags is he puts his player in positions where they have no chance to win on a given play. Karlaftis will never, never succeed in covering a WR like that, unless the receiver literally falls down at the LOS. The defense gained exactly ZERO advantage from that defensive play call. Kirk dropped a bomb, that he absolutely should have caught, and the Jags get 3 points at a minimum. The Jags fumble inside the 5 yard line, or they get a minimum of 3 points. But, let's face it, we are a very bad red zone defense, so they probably score touchdowns on both of those drives. But, once again, somehow Spags gets credit for unforced mistakes by the other team. However, I will give Spags credit with the pressures he drew up down the stretch. They didn't hang any player out to dry, and the Jags seemed unprepared for them. Team win! The Henne drive was epic. Our hero came back and inspired us to a win though. There's just a lot to unpack there.

I think that it's you people who have broken arms from patting yourself on the back for being smart, who refuse to be objective and refuse to see very obvious shortcomings in Spags and the defense. If you think Karlaftis covering a receiver like that in the red zone is sound defense, there is literally no way to actually discuss football with you. Sent from my moto g stylus 5G using Tapatalk |

I picked Cincy to win against Buffalo tomorrow.

Chiefs have an unstoppable offense due to the fact they don't run the ball very often. Some want the Chiefs to run the ball more. Jags, who scored a couple times in the first half, go into a running shell (just what 90s Chiefs fan wants!), and they're rendered useless. Jags start passing the ball downfield, Chiefs defense gives up a couple plays... OMG it's the Chiefs' defense that now ****ing sucks! How 90s Chiefs fan hasn't figured it the **** out yet is completely ****ing beyond me at this point. |

Question is do we have a tendency that the Jags exploited there? Did we not recognize the personnel, and if we did, why didn't we call an audible or timeout? My bet is when they get in the film room they will point out the great play call. by Jax, and ask the same questions (and a bunch more, I'm sure). |

They clearly weren't playing the Bills or Bengals today though and not a scenario where the Chiefs just had to keep scoring.... felt really good at 20-10, thinking 23-10 probably wins it on that next possession. Some people refuse to look past the worst possible scenario all the time though. |

Do you know how much success the Steelers had under Dick LeBeau using the zone blitz? It’s not like Spags relies upon it. You sprinkle it in sometimes and usually you’re not called out by it like he was here. Or like Sutton was against Pittsburgh when Justin Houston was covering Antonio Brown for a long reception. But to put it in the terms you just did is so ridiculous. All about scheme and chaos and mixing shit up. That’s what Spags does. |
Thornhill surprised me, I shouldn't have been I guess

Kinda mind blowing that after this game there is a desire to shit on the defense…bizarre

Again, I pointed out two unforced errors by the Jags that probably would have led to 10-14 points for them. You, and others, bend over backwards to ignore stats, or anything else that shows that our defense isn't great. Like when we lose to the Bengals 3 times in a row, and Spags can't figure out how to sack one of the most sacked QBs in the league. For all 3 losses, including the one where he didn't double Chase for most of the game, you and others blamed the losses on anything and everyone other than Spags. When you can't even accept facts, like the fact that we gave up the most TD passes in the NFL, you are just a blind homer. Sent from my moto g stylus 5G using Tapatalk |

Buddy Ryan had a lot of success running the 4-6 with the 84-86 Bears. That doesn't mean the 4-6 is the best defense for our personnel. What another coach did, in a different era, with several Pro-Bowl caliber players, has absolutely nothing to do with Spags and his scheme. JTFC. Sent from my moto g stylus 5G using Tapatalk |
