Even still Toney is a god damn moron for lining up offsides.

Calcountry 12-10-2023 06:52 PM

I’d cut him on Monday morning I’d pick up a wide receiver off of waivers before I suit him up again

Delano 12-10-2023 06:52 PM

That was a nearly flawless game by Patrick. He was pissed early on after the MVS route ****up. It just simmered and he harnessed the anger perfectly. It bubbled over at the end unfortunately. It’s the first emotion I’ve seen him show. Honestly I feel better about this team than I did after last weeks loss.

Veach did Mahomes dirty, like Green Bay did Rodgers dirty for the better part of two decades.

I would argue that veach along with a lot of taking heads tought that tony could be the number one. And he drafted a good young WR. You would think that could easily replace juju. It didn't work. Happens.

Mahomes wasn't good enough. The next to last drive especially. They had a chance to grab the game by the balls and went 3 and out.

Yeah but the problem there is making sure he didn't move back and get the official to call not enough men on the line.

I am just over the micro penalties they can see but the obvious penalties they lose sight of....

tk13 12-10-2023 06:53 PM

The million dollar question is actually if Toney checked with the official that he was lined up correctly. Thinking about it, I wonder if that's what Mahomes was ticked and why he was yelling at the ref on the sideline. Let's see what Mahomes and Reid say in the postgame.

Picky? A guy lining up clearly offsides is pretty much the most obvious call you can make in a sport with this kind of subjectivity of interpretation.

No issue with the flag there. Most of you would be upset if the situation was reversed and they didn't call it.

What pisses me off is not calling the offsides on Miller 2 plays later. At least it looked like offsides. I don't have the energy to check.

Defense got some stops in the second half giving the offense multiple chances to take the game by the horns. Still not sure about the catch/fumble by the Bills player. Never looked like he secured the ball. Although, multiple Chiefs had a chance at it and failed to recover. The ball definitely bounced the Bills way all game.

Veach chose MVS, Skyy, and Toney. They have all regressed and are incapable of doing the little things that make you successful. I think he's been really good in other areas of building the team, but everyone could see the WRs were a problem from the opening game except, apparently, Veach and Reid.

Yep. ..but what about the obvious penalties they missed? If they can see the micro penalty...and that was what it was....how did they miss the Offside on that last play?

What about the obvious pass Interference on the great catch that Rice made? Blind to that call?

What about some of some of the earlier chips on Kelce beyond the 5 yard line?

I am irritated at Toney....but once again they catch the micro inch and miss the obvious.

Yes but there were struggles at times on offense last year. I think the decision to not try to upgrade and instead depend on two guys who haven’t done it before with no backup plan for a team with Super Bowl aspirations was a monumental fail. Well that and the money they spent on Taylor

The refs suck. This isn't new. If Toney does his job none of it matters. Expecting the refs to not be horrible is a fools errand. I completely understand being upset about calls here and there but if the Chiefs could get out of their own way they would be 11-2. The call last week was especially brutal for sure but still. This team just needs to clean crap up.

Exactly. Monumentally stupid with no proven backup plan. Veach has made some nice moves but I hope the media continues to stir this up. This and the Taylor signing looking horrible right now

If it wasn’t flagged you would never have even noticed it.

And the DB is lined up 10 yards off the LOS, so there's no competitive advantage. It's simply micro-management of one team.

Exactly right, and was also the case for Dee Ford.

I completely understand being upset about calls here and there but if the Chiefs could get out of their own way they would be 11-2. The call last week was especially brutal for sure but still. This team just needs to clean crap up.

But they are reaching a new level of incompetence...one that can't be tolerated. There were at least 3 highly obvious misses last week....2 besides the obvious pass Interference on MVS.....one of them the blatant hands to the face on the 4th and 2 lob by Green Bay...

The officiating was bad enough last week that it was reported that the group calling last weeks game would be scrutinized this week because of it.

I am not even sure if he was offsides or if he was it was like a millimeter or half a toe. Very ticky tacky.

I agree to an extent but it’s gonna be hard to overcome personnel issues no matter if they are woke up or not. I sure hope there’s some kind of an out sooner than later on Taylor. If he isn’t jumping early he’s getting beat in key situations

I want to see it too. And I am pretty sure that he is getting pissed that seemingly every time we make a play like that, there is a penalty.

I think that's at least the 4th TD we have had nullified due to a questionable call.

Then, add in the officials twice ignoring blatant DPI against the Packers, and Mahomes is getting fed up with officials.

If I was Mahomes, and I was the face of the league, AND I was already rich enough that I could never spend it all, I would blast every single bad call and every official who ****ed up in my press conference.

What is the NFL going to do when the face of the league states publicly that there is a problem with officiating, and states it over and over?

Looking at that Von Miller is offsides too right?
