I still cant believe there is a team called the Rainbow Warriors, NTTAWWT

Hawaii nearly beat OU early in the season.

I'm afraid Mason would get into foul trouble guarding Trimble. He's good at drawing fouls. Trimble is a horrible defensive player so that's good though.

So would we rather battle the rainbow warriors or terrains? I have no reason to believe Jayhawks would fock with rainbows, so I'm not sure a rainbow warrior would be that angry with us. However terrains are slow and shouldn't really pose any threat to a bird. Thoughts?

Dont want to play Maryland. I just like KUs chances against teams are more run and gun than grind it out teams like Maryland. Usually its the opposite with Bill Self teams but we have a unique, finesse kind of team.

Just because they didnt win the tournament like 08 doesnt mean they were not as good. They basically blew everyone out they played that year, only regular season loss was a 2OT game in the road to megarival Missouri, then lost to Arizona who went on to beat three #1 seeds and win the title.

Paul Pierce also ended up being the best NBA player KU ever had in the last 30+ years.

God that team was great. So much fun to watch. Just blew everyone out. I still hate anything UofA related.

Maryland is a top 10 talent who has underachieved all year. They've got a ton of size, which helps them both score effectively inside and block shots. We'll lean heavily on Lucas in that one.

Matchups withholding, UCONN is one spot lower than Maryland in KenPom. I've heard that their lineup just doesn't fit. It's why they've struggled all year. Trimble and Stone will pose problems.

Lucas will definitely be important. But I'm more worried about Trimble. He looked to be flipping for calls a SHITTON. And got most of them. Add in his size advantage over Mason and Graham and fouls may **** us right in the ass.

Just adding to the "best (somewhat recent) KU team" discussion, I think 2002 gets forgotten. Boschee, Hinrich, Gooden (2nd in NPOY voting), Collison, Miles, Langford, Simien. Good role players too with Michael Lee and Jeff Carey. Ran into a buzzsaw in the Final 4, and a shell of that team almost won the title the next year.

2003 was better

KCCHIEFS27 03-20-2016 10:20 PM

The Jayhawks should beat Maryland by double digits. Melo and Diamond are no Juan and Lonny B.

Prison Bitch 03-20-2016 10:27 PM

-7 spread

Chiefs Pantalones 03-20-2016 10:30 PM

KU is gonna have the hardest path to the FF of any one seed. Here is the total of KenPom rankings for each region...

South- 39
West- 57
East- 82
Midwest- 62

The winner of UNC/Indiana should walk to the Final Four, but who the **** knows anymore lol.

How so? Other than the "stat" that they got one round further in the tournament?

2003 lost the 2nd best player in college hoops to the NBA lottery, a senior who had the all time conference record for 3s, a McDAA and future team leader PF to a shoulder injury, and replaced them with a PF who only managed to stop playing while stoned during the tournament, and a scrub recruiting class.
