What if you draft a dud this year and then next year a legit prospect is sitting there for you? You aren't going to give up on a guy you picked in the top 5 after one season.
If Denver would have drafted Gabbert at #2 last year we wouldn't have gone after Peyton Manning.
I think you should just draft the best player available no matter what. You don't think the Rams knew that RG3 was a better player than Bradford? They were stuck with Bradford and were forced to trade the pick. Let other teams make the mistake and then trade up when there is a legit prospect. |
