Or maybe it's instrumental... trombones and tubas would make sense, respectively.

Ok it was funny as hell but Im out of date with the KU Kstate rivalry. I didnt even know any school concerned themselves with KU football anymore...other than D2 schools wanting a free win against a D1 school. SO why is Kstate even doing a skit with a Jayhawk when they arent even playing them? And what does the space ship have to do with anything KU Kstate ? and why fly it into the beakers mouth which they made open up and bend its head downward LMAO Maybe, and I mean maybe the original idea was not to come out the way it did BUT theres no way in hell when rehearsing that no one had any clue what that looked like. They knew it and loved the unintentional results and went with it. And then youve got the original concept diagram in case any feathers are ruffled. Just in case you need to "prove" it was you the viewers mistake. "OH, a spaceship. Of course. why didnt I think of that in the first place. Of course its a spaceship what else would be going into that Jayhawks mouth. ROFL I need to follow this rivalry closer. |
Not that I really gave two shits about ksus band but I did wonder what mind came up with that imagery. Why something about ku when they weren't even playing ku? And wtf is with enterprise going into the beak? That makes no sense if that's what they were attempting. And if it turns out that NWTF is correct and they meant it the way some dirty minds interpreted it then it is pathetic. That's some junior high level stuff.

WTF ever. There is entirely too much stupid floating around this whole deal to try to figure out if they meant to or not. If they didn't, the program is stupid. If they did, they're stupid. Plenty of stupid for everybody. |

You said it bro. Nothing like going 8-73 vs your rival the past 30 years to "keep it fresh" |
I almost forgot to mention this. The other day at the game, I was in the first row of section 2. So, we were right by where the players enter and leave the field. Several former players were gathering there for halftime. We went up to get some snacks. When we came back, the guy next to us said he was chatting with Dana Stubblefied. He said that former coaches Wies, Gill, and even Mangino didn't really have a family atmosphere when it came to former players. They would make them sign a waiver to be on the practice fields and in the weight room. Said Beaty is different and that he encourages those former players to hang around and mentor those young KU players. This is a very good thing, if true. :thumb:
