Taylor Swift needs to make a statement along the line of "I'm telling all my fans to stop watching the NFL until my boyfriend's team gets better officiating."

Gravedigger 12-10-2023 07:19 PM

NFL: “We’re going to let the legal process carry itself out before throwing a penalty on Von Miller.”

The picture doesn't show that Miller's feet are way behind the line. I'm assuming that's the difference.

Still too picky no matter how you cut it.

They probably won't overcome the lack of WRs this year, but we haven't even seen this team show up for a full game in a month now and that isn't a WR problem. They need to bring their full effort for the rest of the season. Their playoff lives are on the line now in every game going forward.

What’s weird about that is— how could Mahomes tell? He’s not looking at the receiver’s feet before the snap.

It's not really about the call, it's about the loss.

Maybe because that shit is never called. And the ref signaling to the wr that he is fine makes it even more bizarre.

I think that's at least the 4th TD we have had nullified due to a questionable call.

Then, add in the officials twice ignoring blatant DPI against the Packers, and Mahomes is getting fed up with officials.

If I was Mahomes, and I was the face of the league, AND I was already rich enough that I could never spend it all, I would blast every single bad call and every official who ****ed up in my press conference.

What is the NFL going to do when the face of the league states publicly that there is a problem with officiating, and states it over and over?

They should have bitched a lot more last week about that Packers call (which was one of the worst non-DPI calls anyone has ever seen). It's pretty obvious that this week's bitching is just a product of that accumulation.

It's cool. He will probably miss all the rest of the games this year. Played in this one, but now will get suspended. Seems fair.

I wasn't saying they shouldn't call that...what I am saying is that you are pointing out the mouse in the corner and ignoring the elephant in the room.

It's not worth my time either if you think they shouldn't have called that obvious penalty because they missed other ones throughout the game.

The officiating was bad enough last week that it was reported that the group calling last weeks game would be scrutinized this week because of it.

I'm all for hearing the refs get ripped apart. But they have been screwing over teams for quite some time. Saints fans would argue this isn't a new level but the status quo.

I agree. I think the frustration is more about last week.

Why was Von not called offside the play after if "it's the rules"

wachashi 12-10-2023 07:40 PM

Taylor had a horrible rep on the very last play of the game. He was beat badly and was the reason Mahomes had to throw to essentially no one. Taylor sucks for what we’re paying him.

You know some of the things we did in high school would really translate to the nfl really well like having a coach always looking to see if someone is offsides, yelling watch the fake, and watch the onside kick.

What about some of some of the earlier chips on Kelce beyond the 5 yard line?

I am irritated at Toney....but once again they catch the micro inch and miss the obvious.

I think what you're seeing is fans becoming less OK with NFL officials manipulating outcomes of games via timely (or not so timely/suspect) calls. Hindsight is 20/20, but the Chiefs tried to take the high road after last weeks CLEARLY ****ED UP AND BLOWN non-call, so this week they're going on record about the NFL official's ways and means to manipulate games.

Oh, we've been told that the blue line isn't official, so was he really offsides? :hmmm:

Yeah I mean we as fans can go nuts about it, no problem there at all.

I just worry of the repercussions the team may face later down the road when the catalyst was more than likely a legit call on a WR who sucks and didn't line up correctly.

As for the blue line. I will admit I'm not entirely clear on where the LOS is and if it comes out that he wasn't offside I'll obviously change my tune.

My eyes tell me he is, but I'm sure there are people going over it with a fine tooth comb and we'll find out for sure probably tomorrow.

Unless the league is as corrupt and manipulated as we've been told it isn't, what would there be to fear from a "totally fair and unbiased" officiating community? People can't have it both ways, if be critical of officials means they retaliate against you wasn't a reality for Manning or Brady, why would it be an issue here? Basically PMII and Andy pay a fine for being too honest and it's over, right? Or are the NFL's officiating crews the emotional assholes I think they are?

Actually, no. Juju was a big help on offense. Kelce has slowed significantly, and wasn't as banged up nor in love. (BTW, I think Kelce will retire after this season. Just a hunch.) And we had Milgram on defense who was a monster in there and shut things down.

We are several players short of a champion team. It's not going to happen this year. Just enjoy the ride.

Last year was the anomaly. Kelce was still at his peak and with Juju we had just enough with MVS seen as a genuine deep threat.

This year the roster isn't good enough. Hopefully I never hear about "balance" again with a Reid/Mahomes team because it was, is and always should be an offense first team. Weapons and protection and cobble together any old turd on defense.

Honestly though, I'm OK with it. I kinda expected this year would be more of a slog. As long as next year is the year of the offense it's all good.
