It's really confusing without breaking it down further.

Hell, I remember thinking that in the 90s... I think DV's tenure was about the only exception. I remember asking people back in high school and college, why does it seem like every other team can run that play, yet the Chiefs can't ever get it right?

The crooked view belongs to you and some other Chiefs fans. I'd love for the talk to be on topic... love to just talk Chiefs football (and yes, Alex is a Chief)... but it is actually Chiefs fans that end up turning these threads into "the SF folks."

You are ironically causing your own anguish here. Can you really not see that?

fact is this... most SF fans came here to support Alex and the Chiefs. No one claimed that Alex was elite or KC was now SB bound having him. Most of us came in with peace and respect.

Well clearly, that melted down very quickly. Why? Likely because (1) Chiefs fans HAVE sadly suffered through many years of pain in losing seasons, so you are already razor thin on civility to outsiders.. and more notably (2) apparently you guys recently went through many troubles from NE fans when Cassel came over to KC... and (3) you were still incredibly angry at the Alex trade, and misdirected your anger to SF's fans.

Now looking at (1) and (2) and (3)... does that justify the immediate disrespect shown to SF fans that came in with peace and respect? The honest and obvious answer is NO.. it did/does not.

... but even as this is YOUR house, did you really think that the initial disrespect from KC fans would then be taken with a smile? Well **** that. All of this animosity was created by... Chiefs fans being dickheads (and certainly not all or even most of you)... just the handful or so of very vocal ones that hated the Alex trade to begin with.

Now, men own up to their transgressions. So which is? Men or mice?

Why would we treat opposing fans who come in and dump 1000 Alex Smith posts a month with respect - especially when they act like they own the ****ing place? This place is known for attacking n00bs who act high and mighty, when they've done nothing here to deserve respect. You have to earn it.

A n00b in any color jersey is still a ****ing n00b...

Indeed.

Especially when that jersey is split down the middle because said noob has two teams.

Then coming here and bitching about your old team?

Adopting a 2nd team. Yeah, that's showing loyalty to your original team.

Holy Christ. Are you guys 12 years old?

Or are you one of these douchebags who like different cities in different sports?

"I'm a huge Detroit Red Wings fan."

Ever been to Detroit?

"Nope."

Have family in Detroit?

"Nope."

Know ANYONE in Detroit?

"Nope."

Uh, ok. So your a Pistons fan?

"Nope. Lakers."

Ok, let me get this straight. Liking a player that played for your favorite team for 8 seasons, was an extreme hard worker, gave everthing he had and overcome a terrible situation is a bad thing? And cheering him to be successful and get at least 8 wins with his new team so my favorite team can get a higher draft pick is terrible? Uh, ok.

Most of us 49er fans are cheering for them and Kaep to try and make another SB run and are cheering for Alex Smith to do well whle the chiefs win at least 8 games because its in the best interest of the 49ers. So I don't understand how that makes any of us (or me) a fair weather fan. But ok, keep telling yourself that and hoping your team sucks until you invest a 1st rd pick on a QB.

You're not who any of us are really making fun of.

It's the douches who have adopted the Chiefs as a second team because they like the way Alex Smith waxes his eyebrows and leads in a community and is just such a swell guy in general.

I'm 100% sure if given the opportunity in real life Mac and Maverick would give Alex's balls a tongue bath.

And they'd finally get to find out if the rest of him is as beautifully manicured as his face, which I'm sure is a burning question.

Nah man, think about it. I wouldn't even type that shit, cuz it's nasty. But you seem to really like imagining and describing homo acts. That tells us all we need to know, bro. We won't judge you for it. This world seems to be far more free about your lifestyle than I care for... but hey, do what ya got to do, I guess.

I'll tell you what. Let me explain to you about last week.

It was Thursday night... KC was @ Philly... and all that day, I was excited. As the game starts, my pulse rushes with adrenaline... this goes on all game long as I am pinned to the TV in hopes of a KC victory.

Now skip to Sunday. It's almost noon, and I elect to watch NOLA vs AZ and flip back and forth with other games like STL vs DAL. No excitement.. no adrenaline.. just watching various games for love of the game.

3 hours later that Sunday, here comes the excitement... the adrenaline.. as the 49ers take on the Colts. All game long.. pinned to the TV.

So you... a pure Chiefs fan... likely feel that football excitement for your 3 hours a week. Me as a SF/KC fan? I doubled my pleasure. Would I add more teams to take an emotional attachment to? No. Two is about all I can handle.

There isn't a ton of distinction between the people lashing out and condemning those who "are a fan of more than one team" vs those who like some other teams more than other teams. I like many teams in the NFL... at least more than others. I just happen to like the 49ers the most... and the Chiefs the next most.

So I really think this is all about degrees, semantics, and immature fanhood hubris.

That's all. Maybe you got something out of this? maybe not... whatever. http://img834.imageshack.us/img834/3193/vikeslogo.gif

That makes sense... like I said, I should have just become a Patriots fan in 2001, because that would have made a helluva lot more sense than trying to distance myself from watching terrible football over the past decade.

And as a jaded Chiefs fan, I think about getting my hopes up for no other reason than seeing them crushed in January, as opposed to the excitement you're talking about. Not that "seeing them crushed" means ruining my life, or that a SB win is all that matters. Kind of the opposite, really... years of trying to be optimistic, followed by disappointment has led me to apathy; and since I've seen the Chiefs accomplish several ~10 win seasons, I simply don't get up for regular season games like I used to. In the past few years, I've been more excited to see games with two of the big boys than watching shitty Chiefs football.

Kansas basketball is the easiest comparison for me, and it's easier for me to see your point of view through that lens... sure, there are disappointments, but the run to the NC game a couple of years ago was awesome, and even the tournament last year was fun. I still wouldn't ever claim a '2nd team', since like I said, there just seems to be a loyalty thing with claiming any, but I can see why someone would want that same feeling for two teams. They deliver excitement every year to the extent that I'll watch a relatively meaningless November game. Watching the Chiefs/Jaguars just doesn't deliver that kind of excitement like it used to 10+ years ago.

More "You know you are but what I am I?" Come on, at least Maverick has some original good shit. Try again ****face.
