I would jump off the Geno Bandwagon too.

Did Geno get benched...? I just got back from the game and haven't caught the highlights.

Yes at half. Rex after game said he's got no clue who his starter is next week.

Well when you have nothing but garbage at the position...would you have any clue on who to start? Can't blaim him...poor Rex.

EVERY QB in the history of the game needs help from their defense to win.

Peyton Manning didn't win a super bowl until the year his D stepped up in the playoffs.

Football is a team game every Qb needs their defense to do something to win. To say otherwise is just stupid.

Alex Smith needs an elite d to win games.

During the game, Gannon said Geno Smith won't be the starter in 2014, that the Jets have seen enough.

I didn't blame him, but he does need an elite d to win.

The Chiefs scored 38 and 28 in two of their three losses. It doesn't take an elite defense to hold an opponent to less than that.

the Chiefs three losses have come courtesy of two of the better qbs in the league this year. I guess many qbs could win when the opposing qb throws 5 TDS.

I think instead of an elite defense you might in the case of these last three weeks you could say, "alex smith needs a semi competent defense to win."

Of course, Aaron Rodgers, Drew Brees, Tom Brady, they all can win without ANY DEFENSE.

And, if you want to be really technical about it, bad int aside from yesterday, Alex Smith probably could win if he didn't have 6 dropped passes on DEEP BALLS in one game.

Just a thought.

You know, the thing that captain check down DOESNT DO, throw deep?

Geno Smith told reporters in NY he was informed he remained the team's starting QB. To me, it was the only move Rex could make

Nobody who has seen the Jets' past 4 games can believe Geno Smith gives this team a better chance to win.

It sounds like they are handcuffing Geno a bit in NY, by Herming up the offense. They need to unleash the beast and let him penetrate deep. He'll give you some great ones, he'll give you some bad ones. You just have to hope you get more good than bad on that Sunday.

Havent watched any Jets games lately?

They are taking away everything deep, and making him look short, and pressuring him.

it was the concern that any one that wasn't 100 pro geno gave as a reason to be skeptical, and got thrashed because of.

He doesn't handle pressure well, and isn't the most accurate qb short. Beautiful long ball. Doesn't progress through reads very well. Easily rattled.

And you talk about excuses for Alex?

All correctable. He'll be a stud next year once he gets some decent talent around him.
