I would laugh so hard if the Colts lose to the Jets and the way each team is playing it could happen.

I'm still trying to figure out how saying the guy managed the game is somehow discrediting him. It's what he did, nothing more, nothing less. They ran the ball 38 times. They did not try to sling it around and they did not try to win it with his arm. They stuck to their strengths, which at this point in time are running game and defense. And it's pretty clear it was a good decision.
I think people have this thing in their head that the words "manged the game" is somehow an insult. When reality is that one of the things franchise quarterbacks have to be able to do is manage games. Today was a good sign for his future, if nothing else. He didn't shoot himself in the foot on the biggest stage of his career, on the road, and he completed a high percentage of passes. It was by far his best performance as a pro. But, at the same time, I'm sorry, it was 15 passes. Again, they did run the ball 38 times. And I don't think it's some kind of crime to acknowledge that. I think it's okay to just give him an attaboy for managing the game, instead of treating it like he went out there, took the team on his shoulders and won the game on his own by taking the Bengals defense apart. Because, you know, he didn't. That's not what happened. Doesn't mean that he can't or he won't, just that he didn't. Maybe that's next week... |

Do I even need to read this thread, or does this cover it:
Sanchez sucks. The defense carried him again. He did nothing to win that game. He only threw 15 passes. Anyone could have done that. That about it? |

But there was a good deal of quiet, accentuated by random comments from unusual sources (such as Hamas, cdcox, and myself). Shocking stuff, I know. |

Everyone knows that Sanchez is still a bust. |

What a ****ing douchebag. |

While Sanchez was solid and didnt shit himself like Palmer, he in no way carried the Jets. Jets are built on a good running game and strong defense. They played to their strengths. |

The guy is a ****ing rookie, went on the road in his first ever playoff game, completed 80% of his passes, averaged over 12 yards per attempt and was robbed of a 50+ yard TD because Braylon Edwards half-assed it. The guy made clutch throws, converted long third downs, and didn't make a single mistake. You can't ask for much more than that, and if he continues to do that, the Jets will keep winning. |
Better watch out, Mark Sanchez is closing in on the Chiefs franchise number of playoff wins.

Ok, he still didnt carry them. They ran the ball well, Palmer shit himself. I am aware he was drafted last year making this his rookie season. No where in my post did I say he sucked. He did what was asked for him and was solid. Was he great? No. He managed the game very well, made plays when he needed to. |
