Seriously, 36 runs in a half against the 23rd ranked pass defense?

Nuff said.

Can you blame him? How many turnovers does Cassel have this year?

If we actually drafted a legitimate franchise QB, I'd want Bowe on the field to help develop that kid.

Go back and read DJ'sl left nuts post about it.

He really hits the nail on the head.

No way dude has had a chance to prove himself. No way.

The point is, there is no way you can point to Baldwin as an acceptable replacement.

He may develop into a good, even great, receiver, but there is nothing to base that hope on.

Bowe has produced with crap QBs since he was drafted.

Ok then, the coach being afraid to put the ball in Cassel's hands pretty much proves Baldwin isn't in a situation to succeed.

Bowe and Breaston were vets by the time Casshole showed up. Baldwin has played with nobody but Cassel really.

Its a shock he isn't running routes backwards.

O.city 10-17-2012 06:42 PM

I thought last year didn't count Clay, cause all the teams QB's were shitty or hurt?

And Moeaki's 2010 was against the NFC West?

I am not arguing either of those points. I am arguing the he "flat out sucks" comments.

If you trade Bowe we will still have to draft or sign a wideout I beleive this year we need to draft QB first CB second but I don't know if you could fairly judge Baldwin yet because the last two years Bowe was targeted heavily because we were playing against prevent D's to gat back into the game or to make the game respectable so you go to your safest option everytime you need to move fast when your down 3 scores with 5 mins. left in the game

The reality is that everyone, you, me, the planet, your grandmother, and the DCs in the NFL know that Bowe is the primary target for Cassel.

That should open up opportunities for Baldwin, and he is not taking advantage of those opportunities.

Why?

It can not simply be the QB.

O.city 10-17-2012 06:45 PM

Baldwin hasn't done anything yet to make us believe he could even come close to replacing Bowe's production.

That said, myself among many others here on CP have witnessed games where we have had WR's running open all over the field.

He might not catch the ball, but I've watched Baldwin this year against the Falcons, Chargers and Ravens be running with a WR on his hip or open deep down the field.

Even the times he has been targeted deep down the field, the throw has been out of bounds or 5 yards off.

Same with Bowe, the times he has been open for a deep ball, it's a terrible terrible throw.

How can't it? Everyone knows that Bowe is the #1 target but that doesn't stop Cassel from still going to him.

Just look at the play where Cassel threw the ball to Bowe that got intercepted because of tight coverage and Maneri with 15 yards of space on the other side of the field.

This.

I don't see anyone saying he's a stud.

We see Cassel throw it to Bowe with 4 guys around him time after time.

Hammock Parties 10-17-2012 06:46 PM

Baldwin would be more productive with a good QB.

He'd probably catch 40 balls.

That sucks.

Knob 10-17-2012 06:47 PM

If we let him go and he comes back, well then it was meant to be. If he doesn't come back well then we stink.:moon:
