NICE.

Peyton did what he did against the defending champs, you guys did it against the Jags.

What makes it all the more impressive is how the Ravens really resemble their championship team this year.

Yeah, they're just as good as last year.

One month removed from Super Bowl glory, the Baltimore Ravens barely resemble the team that knocked off the San Franciso 49ers in the Superdome.

ESPN's Trey Wingo noted Thursday that Ed Reed's expected exodus to the Houston Texans will mark the eighth starter lost from last season's title team. No defending Super Bowl winner has shed more than five, according to the Elias Sports Bureau.

I think Pat Kirwan is a little better football mind than Marc Sessler. (who the hell is Marc Sessler?)

Keep in mind, Baltimore is a solid defense. If Broncos linebacker Danny Trevathan didn't have a bonehead play running an interception back and Decker didn't drop a number of passes the Broncos might have had more than 60 points.

FYP.

Im sure that losing the guys responsible for making the adjustments on defense in the secondary and front seven had nothing to do with that defensive meltdown, even if their names were only Ray Lewis and Ed Reed. Cary Williams is gone as wel as two more linebackers from that front 7.

Im sure the loss of Anquan Boldin (who tore shit up against GB) didn't affect the offense in any negative way whatsoever.

I admire your flexibility. Not too many people can get their foot in their mouth and their head up their ass all at the same time.

Props to you bro.

Hey look, Kirwan is employing Vermeil logic!

"If we wouldn't have given up those two rushes of 68 and 79 yards, we would have held them to under 3.0 yards a rush!"

Don't like a source, so you just discount it. They could be a decent defense later in the year. They might be godawful. With so many new starters it's hard to say. Remember the Eagle "dream team"? That defense was supposed to be awesome.

Either way, I'm done with this line of discussion. I know you're not interested in an actual conversation so it's not worth my time.

All offseason all I heard was how terrible Lewis and Reed were and that Ozzie Newsome is some sort of genius for making the Ravens an even better team than they were last year.

I also heard that Denver was going to struggle because there is no way in hell that Denver could survive losing two centers and they certainly couldn't play well on defense without Von, Champ and Doom.

All offseason, this board has been plagued by a welching douchebag named knowmo. I wish the mods would take you out with the rest of the trash since you clearly lack the intestinal fortitude to fulfill your obligations.

Then you need to quit getting your football analysis from a goateed jackass farting the national anthem at an Applebees bar in Littleton.

.. And you may not have even won the game had they made the right call on that non-catch that started the scoring onslaught.

KC has been bad for a while now. Win a couple more, rankings will go up.
