Michael Lombardi just wrote an article on The Athletic blowing up Goodell over Hill not being punished while Zeke was.

They are all lazy mother****ers.

Thought 'The Athletic' was one of the good guys

In general they are much better, especially the local coverage writers, but it seems like nationally everyone whats to beat the same drum.

Lombardi's article is pretty weak on substance and just a bunch of whining bitch bait.

Again, we obviously don't have all the info for these decisions, but it is pretty crazy Tyreek got nothing will Zeek got what he got. Now, we obviously know Zeek is a dipshit who can't stay out of the commissioners office, but still.

He didn't really get into his belief on one side or the other, just that the league kinda does what it wants here. To be fair though, the NFLPA collectively bargained to give him that power, and IMO, I don't think it's something they should really be too concerned or fight over. The VAST majority of players in the league never have to deal with it.

Kinda similar thing to the franchise tag. The media bitches and bitches about it and how it's not fair (most media guys are pro player because they get info from agents and want to keep getting info so they blow all the players and shit on the owners IMO) but it really only effects a small percent too.

In the end, the league is either gonna have to get out of this business or be more transparent on why they do certain things.

Allowing a columnist to publish a dissenting view actually makes them a good guy.

As opposed to The Star or USA Yesterday.

Nothing is similar in the Zeke and Hill cases.

3 independent investigators hired by the NFL concluded Zeke beat up his GF multiple times. THAT is why he got suspended.

Had the NFL been able to determine Hill had done something wrong he would have been suspended. I have stated many times and caught flack for it, contrary to popular belief there is a system in place and Goodell cannot simply do whatever he wants.

Thought the independent investigators said they didn't think he did it?

EDIT NEvermind I reread the report

Elliott refused to speak with the NFL and didn't cooperate, Tyreek was the exact opposite...they're completely different cases, lazy comparison.

Plus.... Tyreek is innocent. Heck, he's more than likely innocent of the 2014 charges too...

ToxSocks 07-22-2019 02:42 PM

Elliot also had multiple off-field incidents. Lets not forget lifting that chick's shirt and flashing her titties at the crowd.
