It doesn’t come up often, because normally QBs who aren’t under pressure don’t throw it away.

On that replay, was Allen under any pressure at all? Didn’t look like it.

SECTION 2 - INTENTIONAL GROUNDING
ARTICLE 1. DEFINITION
It is a foul for intentional grounding if a passer, facing an imminent loss of yardage because of pressure from the defense, throws a forward pass without a realistic chance of completion. A realistic chance of completion is defined as a pass that is thrown in the direction of and lands in the vicinity of an originally eligible offensive receiver.

It was a ridiculous call. The ref trying to justify it was full of shit.

Mahomes promises to get the offense fixed. We're going to win a Superbowl

Megatron96 11-05-2023 08:58 PM

I mean, I get what they're saying about how it has to be officiated.

But come the **** on, like we haven't seen worse than that let go, in a thousand other games, in that exact same type of situation, just about 99% of the time.

Terrible call. Even worse, they had a meeting about it, then decided as a group to be idiots.

CJ Stroud looked phenomenal against the Buccaneers.

Sure enough.

That was as bad as the announce crew trying to justify the refs not throwing the flag for the late hit on Mahomes earlier today.

The booth ref is one of the worst additions to these broadcasts. They’re clearly just there to back up the refs on the field. We all see it.

Never seen one like that called. The kind of call that makes you wonder.

I think it is both a terrible call (QB not under threat of imminent loss of yardage) and a terrible rule, because even if he was under pressure, it was probably the right throw. WR broke the route off just as the ball was being thrown.

I hope he can. I will never believe he doesn't work hard to make the team better.

I think he's referring to our meeting in a couple weeks.
