He’s just guessing.

“In a close decision, according to a team source, the Chiefs chose to sign Humphries, 30, over Donovan Smith, 31, who was the starter last season. Humphries will make $2 million for the rest of the season with a maximum value of $4.5 million, according to the source. A Pro Bowler in 2021 with the Arizona Cardinals, Humphries had been unsigned this season while recovering from a torn ACL.

“With any player that comes off an injury, or comes to a new team on top of that, it’s going to take some time,” offensive coordinator Matt Nagy said of Humphries.”

Nate Taylor says they are aiming for him to play vs LAC but it could be the Browns. It really depends on how he looks in practice

That would absolutely suck if we start him too early and he reinjures it. Don't take your eyes off the prize. We just need him to be at full speed come the playoffs.

He was medically cleared. The only real risk of injury is just being in game shape and doing the little things right. Guys get hurt when they struggle to do the fundamentals.

If he's ok to play, get him out there.

First day in pads was July 26th. Last day was August 15th. Just under 3 weeks.

Think that’s the preferred timeline for this guy which would be the Browns

Man that would suck, honestly there goes the season too, no way we get that far in the playoffs with Mahomes running for his life all the time. I mean with Andy Reid/Spags magic it could happen again, but you have to protect the GOAT, did Brady ever have this much trouble with his OL?

Get the big galoot out there and lets run some windsprints!!!!

Granted it was 17 years ago for me and things are ever evolving but when I was cleared it was weird as **** just jogging or doing any kind of lifts for about 6 months until it really stabilized and tightened back up.

You can run and do full weights at 3 months. I am not a pro athlete but I was back playing sports at 6 months.

Hasn't it been 11 months since his ACL surgery?

The average time for pros seems to between 9 to 12 months. He should easily be full strength by the playoffs.

FWIW I have heard Nate Taylor and Matt Derrick indicate that Wanya Morris’ injury against the Broncos is lingering and limiting him a bit.

Makes it seem like they started contacting Humphries shortly after that game

Pretty good read and look at what this guy is capable of

If he's good/solid, they need to sign him to a 3 or so year deal and be done with the LT spot.

Yeah, Wanya’s injury was a scary moment. I was surprised he got back into the game pretty quick. If nothing else, Humphries is a good quality depth guy.

Yip. Same with Omenihu. If that guy is what he was last year get it done.

They have proven they can find corners. Veach has struggled the most with pass rushers unfortunately
