“In a close decision, according to a team source, the Chiefs chose to sign Humphries, 30, over Donovan Smith, 31, who was the starter last season. Humphries will make $2 million for the rest of the season with a maximum value of $4.5 million, according to the source. A Pro Bowler in 2021 with the Arizona Cardinals, Humphries had been unsigned this season while recovering from a torn ACL. “With any player that comes off an injury, or comes to a new team on top of that, it’s going to take some time,” offensive coordinator Matt Nagy said of Humphries.” |
Nate Taylor says they are aiming for him to play vs LAC but it could be the Browns. It really depends on how he looks in practice

If he's ok to play, get him out there.

First day in pads was July 26th. Last day was August 15th. Just under 3 weeks.
Think that’s the preferred timeline for this guy which would be the Browns |

Hasn't it been 11 months since his ACL surgery? The average time for pros seems to between 9 to 12 months. He should easily be full strength by the playoffs. |
FWIW I have heard Nate Taylor and Matt Derrick indicate that Wanya Morris’ injury against the Broncos is lingering and limiting him a bit.
Makes it seem like they started contacting Humphries shortly after that game |
Pretty good read and look at what this guy is capable of

If he's good/solid, they need to sign him to a 3 or so year deal and be done with the LT spot.

They have proven they can find corners. Veach has struggled the most with pass rushers unfortunately |
