I must concur that this officiating is pretty blatant. THat being said, the Lakers are being obsurdly outplayed right now.

The Laker CRASH and BURN is even BETTER than I expected. My gosh, with all the WHINING, some of you Laker fans sound like DONX fans. ROFL

Haven't actually been able to watch the game but looking at the box score the number of foul calls is about equal for both teams, the Pistons have committed one less foul and it doesn't seem like either team has gained a huge advantage at the line.

Plus, I don't care who you are... I would agree if there's a key play at the end or something an official might have a part in the outcome of a game, but when you're losing by 25 points? Ehh... I think once you're getting whipped by 15-20 points or more that's pretty much your own fault...

Please, every Laker fan on this board has stated that they have been badly outplayed. And even non-Laker fans have pointed out the one-way officiating. Get a grip donk lover

Absolutely outplayed and outhustled

Joe Seahawk 06-15-2004 09:32 PM

The Pistons were one lucky shot away from a sweep..
Whodda thunk it..

It is pretty amazing though. I thought the Pistons had a fighting chance because they were more physical than the Nets and Sixers teams before them in the Finals, but I never expected it to be quite this one sided. It is kind of hard to believe guys like Malone and Payton can just "lose it" so quickly... you knew they were past their primes coming in but still they had seemingly something left in them...

Sure-Oz 06-15-2004 09:53 PM

Damn the Lakers got OWNED this series, possibly the end of a dynasty.

In fairness to Malone he was playing on a severly hurt knee and played well when uninjured.

Payton was through though.

Mile High Mania 06-15-2004 10:11 PM

That explosion you heard coming from the West was the sound of the Lakers' team being dismantled.
