Don't think they're that far over the cap as it stands right now with Prescott's deal lowering the first year.

They have 20 mil in cap space before Daks deal

Umm this is exactly how you get stuck in mediocre purgatory.

So don’t pay him and end up in hell with shit QB’s. We’re seeing that play out in Denver. Plus it’s a 4 year deal that probably has an out.

I love hearing this trotted out every so often.

What it truly means is the the cost gets shifted onto the consumer.

Like most things it touches, money has already corrupted the game.

FloridaMan88 03-08-2021 06:43 PM

All of those ESPN talk shows just lost a ton of content to endlessly speculate about.

Sassy Squatch 03-08-2021 06:43 PM

Puts them pretty close to having no money, but could free up quite a bit of money by restructuring some guys.

Stolen from somewhere else. Restructuring Amari Cooper’s contract would save the Cowboys up to $14.3 million, DeMarcus Lawrence $12 million, Zack Martin $7.4 million, Tyron Smith $7.1 million, and Ezekiel Elliott $6.9 million in salary cap space this season.

That's a bit under 50 million they could create if they REALLY wanted to.

Yeah, but it's professional football. It was always designed to be about making money.

If you don’t have a top 5 QB, what’s a team supposed to do? Just give up?

scho63 03-08-2021 06:49 PM

Jerry Jones just joined the senile club of America.

He just killed the Cowboys.

scho63 03-08-2021 06:50 PM

Cowboys would have been better off with Russell Wilson.

It's an easy fix though. Let's all stop going and watching.
