You might take a look at taking I-70 west to Goodland and going north from there. I used to live in Lawrence and that route was much quicker(~3 hours). Better scenery too. The bonus is this: Carhenge

Last Titty Bar i was in in Sioux City was on Lower 4th before the
new convention center. SO that's dating my presence in those fine
establishments !!!! I might have to make a road trip some time :)
