Oddly enough, I think the sitcom that most reflected the average family was Rosanne. But that might just be a reflection on my own upbringing more than anything.

I think that was a very honest portrayal of working class life in middle america, from the bad boyfriends of the daughters to their poor choices, to Dan's labor troubles, failed businesses, I always found it quite accurate (coming from a poor community myself).

My name is Early is my fav comedy atm.
2 and a half men. Its a very good show.
King of Queens of course.
The Office is ok. I can take it in very small doses.
scrubs its just a damn great show imo.

Think thas about all i can think about, or ones i pay half ass attention too.

Well I was thinking more in the vain of four-camera sitcoms that typically take place in one or two settings. But I gotcha.

I do enjoy My Name Is Earl. King Of Queens, despite my criticisms, is a pretty funny show. The Office is a brilliant show, one of the best on TV in my opinion, and Scrubs is great but an acquired taste.

2 & a Half Men is pretty lousy, though.

Not that you needed my opinion on those shows, but now you have it.

I don't think it's that disfunctonal. What parents don't have problems with teenage kids. At least her and Dan stayed married, even amongst their problems. Didn't they? I didn't follow the last few seasons.

I will say this: to me, if a current show has a laugh track, it's hackneyed. Scrubs, Earl, The Office are all great shows without any of the canned bullshit that you get from nearly all CBS comedies.

You guys are gonna make me miss being at home at night to watch tv.

EDIT OK maybe disfunctional was a little brutal. I see your point about working class issues. As I said, I really can't stand Rosanne Barr so I had a hard time really enjoying the show.

I myself could only take the show in small doses, too.

I watch TV to primarily escape reality, not to recapture it and watch my life on TV. My life sucks, dude.

Use Torrents. I just got into the office over winter break...I watched the first 2 seasons on DVD, but wanted to catch up....so I downloaded all the third season ep's via a torrent site, burned them on DVD, put them in a Divx-compatible player, and got caught up in just a few days.

I've used Torrentspy a lot for Scrubs that I forget to Tivo.

thepiratebay.org is another large one, but I haven't had much success w/it.

Thanks. Like I need another excuse to be planted in front of this damn thing, but I'll look around those sites some this weekend.
