WOW, I'm a Jayhawk fan but I don't see it this way.....6 - 6 to 8 - 4 at best.

I would like my sig privileges back. I must post this on my sig otherwise I will forget. You are on. I see no way how KU will not go 8-4 with this schedule. I may of been being a little joking at 10-2, but I think 8-4 or 9-3 are very achievable.

Well, they'd have to sweep their non-con, which is the worst non-con in Division 1-A by far, so they should do that - and then they'd have to go .500 in conference, which Mangino has never done. I think they will probably win 7 or 8 games including a bowl game, but they won't be a good team.

I didn't say they are GOING to go 10 and 2 seriously, but if they get lucky, I am just saying it is not out of the question. Last year, as I said before 10-2 was in the realm of possibilities because of all of the close games. People are going to tell you, oh good teams don't lose close games. BS, sports like it or not has a huge amount of luck. You could play the NCAA Football Schedule of last year and ten times and probably get 8 different national championships. The chips fall where they may, it's not set in stone, anomalies happen.

I can see no more than seven wins on that schedule, with several games that will be close. KU needs a pull a big upset to deserve a bowl appearance this season.

Heh. Yep.

I just want to point out that if it were not for, "pussy schedules" K-State probably wouldn't have a football program.

Mangino learned from Snyder. You've got to start winning to get the recruits, and if your program sucks balls, you've got to start with "weaker" competition.

Sure.

Just don't see any way kU beats Nebraska, aTm, Mizzou or Oklahoma State. Expecting to win both games at CU and K-State also seems a little nuts.

Unless Kerry Meier is MUCH better than everyone thinks.

But you're on.

CoMoChief 07-12-2007 02:47 AM

KU will lose badly to both MU and KSU this season in football.

Now, basketball is a much much more of a different story.

The difference being we always did well in conference play.

But the point is you had to start somewhere.

Still - at year 6 in his tenure though? It's not just about SoS, it's about value to your ticket holders as well.
