I know the media tends to jump on white on black crimes and ignore black on white crimes these days. So, you may be right about that. But that doesn't necessarily mean any of these crimes are racially motivated. And don't even get me started on hate crime legislation as I think it is ridiculously unnecessary.

BTW, in Sharpton's defense....they asked him about this the other day on Fox News and he said something to the effect that his organization would condemn these kids if race were indeed the motivation.

That doesn't jive with my experiences at all. I lived in Newport News for about a year in 1998 and it was ass. The same with the other side of the bay. Maybe some places are nice but I never saw them.

IMO, pretty much any time you have 6 people of 1 color beating someone of a different color without being provoked...its racially motivated.

When you here about something like this, only reversed, its always a hate crime & of course it is. But when its black on white, its always..."whoa, whoa, whoa, lets not get ahead of ourselves".

That was my point. To me, it doesn't matter either way. White on Black or Black on White. Just because their are different colors does not necessarily mean it was about race. But, when you get to the point of 6 on 1, the race aspect should at least be looked at as a possibility.
