I'm sorry to hear about your troubles but placing the blame on eBay is misdirected.

Dane, I am not placing the blame on Ebay. I said this earlier as well. Is the experience going to make me think twice for a while? Certainly. But I don't blame Ebay for it. Not once have I said it is ebay's fault and twice you have stated that I have.

Generally Paypal sides on buyers when you file INAD (which it is since it's broken). Last ditch effort is to file a chargeback with AMEX, but try Paypal first. If you do a chargeback, PP will likely close your account.

Done. In the most positive way I could come up with too. Thanks.

AMEX would remove the charge ASAP but I fear after the investigation they would just put it back on there in 8 weeks.

Well, it may be worth it just to give the guy some extra work of his own to do.

Great, now the guy is just plain calling me a liar. I love dealing with non flexible people. I have given him detailed explanations and been very civil with him. My Ebay history would even suggest otherwise as well but, oh well... I'm just a liar.

As a matter of fact, here is his address as well for anyone that wants to send him hate mail. heh

Hass Electronics

Sunrise, FL, 33351

More then likely if he is a mass seller he knew it was nonworking and sold it for soo cheap.. Go after him, or have him send you another copy since it seems to me he does this for a living.. It is the sellers responsibility to get you a working product..

007 05-15-2008 03:11 PM

Screw him. Just got off the phone with Rock Band customer support and they are sending me a new copy for free.

Now there is good customer service. They didn't even ask about receipts or anything. Just want me to send the old copy back to them when I get it.

Pretty sad this guy can't just fix the problem and the game manufacturer is willing to take care of it no questions asked.

Sounds like that guy is real POS. He probably new that disc was bad.

That is what I am feeling as well. Oh well, at least I am getting a good copy now. I will probably not even tell him about the resolution and drag him out for a while.

Good for you, glad it worked out.

Have you given this ****tard feedback yet?

mikeyis4dcats. 05-15-2008 03:56 PM

screw him...let PP rule in your favor and get it free.

Unfortunately, I gave him feedback upon the superfast shipping of the item. I never expected the disc to not work considering my history of success on Ebay and Half with other sellers. Normally I would just load the disc right up upon receipt but the birthday circumstances negated that in this case.

Live and learn. Jut too trusting on my part.

I will leave the case open but if PP determines I have to send the disk back, that would be the end of it since I won't have a disk to send back. EA will have it. Will be worth it to drag him out though.

007 05-15-2008 04:23 PM

WOW!!! EA has already sent me the UPS tracking number for my shipment and stated I should have it by the middle of next week. I expected this to take at least two full business weeks.

fuck that. Dispute it and get your money back. It will encourage him to not pull this bullshit in the future.
