Yea, but he would have to be playing to warrant his dough. He may be better than those guys out there, but he's more expensive, and he will never see the field again.

He's not making all that much. I'd say he's worth the salary in case we make a run in 2009 (shit happens) and we need him to sub for a few games or a crucial quarter or something. Troy Aikman got hurt in the postseason during the Cowboys' first Super Bowl run if I recall correctly, and Bernie Kosar had to come in and threw a huge touchdown pass. Same goes for Drew Bledsoe during the Pats' first Super Bowl run.

Nope. Huard was the best quarterback on the roster last year. Find me one shred of evidence that proves otherwise.

what's even worse, or sadder, or funnier is that you spent the preseason swallowing Croyle's cock whole....until the second that Carl ordered his foot shuffling porter of a coach to start Huard, and ordered WPI to support him...then you immediately became Huard's personal rim job machine...

which makes you not only stupid, but chicken shit....

Your interpretation of the events is laughable at best.

This may be true, but it doesn't matter if we have Joe Montana in his prime to come in off the bench if Croyle goes down, KC still isn't going to make a Super Bowl run next season....So why even keep Huard?

Apart from the answer I already provided, he's also a good veteran teacher for the young quarterbacks. Lord knows Dick Curl has never developed a good NFL QB.

Says who? I know it's always assumed that veteran QB's are "good teachers" but is that a fact? I know he didn't need to mentor Green, or Marino, and didn't have to do a whole lot in NE with Brady either...

What young QB has he mentored?

Huard would be a great teacher. Do you remember last preseason when he was schooling Bowe on Hard Knocks? Plus, the guy was so prepared when Green went down, there's no way he's not passing that experience onto the younger quarterbacks.

Really tired of all the Huard hate around here. People should give him the benefit of the doubt for a change.

If Brodie/Thigpen are healthy and HUTARD starts
someone needs a thurough thrashing

Maybe your right? There is no concrete evidence behind him being a good teacher. As I have said...name a young QB he has taken under his wing. The answer is really none...at least none that have blossomed into an NFL starter.

I'm not a Huard hater, I just don't see his value. I didn't see his value last season, and I don't see it this season. At any rate, it's not hardly worth debating because Huard doesn't figure into the Chiefs plans.

You think Brodie Croyle should have had the shit beaten out of him for 16 games instead of 8?

Looks like that 4-12 season aged Herm considerably. And Dorsey looks like a fucking beast.

I think that's assuming a lot. I would have liked to see Croyle get some time with Larry Johnson, instead of KC's third string RB. Huard also had a couple of games with a consistent O Line (lineup-wise) which is something Croyle never had.

Eventually, Croyle is going to have to take a pounding for an entire NFL season. At the point that the coaching staff chose Huard over Croyle, we didn't know that the O Line would be like swiss cheese.

Mr. Laz 05-29-2008 04:43 PM

this year we aren't going to have a freaking clue what kind of talent/team we have until the preseason games and/or the regular season starts.

when one shitty player goes up against another shitty player then both tend to look less shitty than they are really are....
