What the heck are we going to talk about?

A bunch of players most of us have never seen play?
The same GM we have verbally deconstructed for the past two decades?
Our uninspiring head coach?
The upcoming 4-12 season?

I will say I was surprised not to see more dialogue about the Chargers first preseason game but perhaps that topic would be too depressing for us; the Chargers appear light years ahead in the division.

Perhaps instead of a complaint you could start a thread on the topic of your choice.

I think what KCJ really wants is a forum dedicated to the "glory" days of Marty, Gun and RBBC.

If talking in the third person is a sign of bitterness, then milkman should have been talking in the third person for the last 30 years.

What do you want us to talk about that hasn't already been talked about? The last game was 6 days ago... if you wanted to talk about that game, go back 4 days. There was discussion on the game, Chan Gailey and the offense, Brodie Croyle, the defense, the young players, etc. Our upcoming strategy is the same as last week... have a good scrimmage and don't get hurt.

Do we really need another prediction thread? More analysis of last week's game? More speculation?

Every Wednesday of the regular season is slow, much less August... the weekend is for football, arm-chair QB, power rankings, and other postgame news on Mon. and Tues, then it gets going again by Thursday or Friday. It's only been like that around here for the past 10 years.

If you're looking for thread ideas, since this one is such a gem, I haven't seen Marty's name mentioned in a while...

Oh they were so glorious... That era should be called the "Glory Days of Mediocrity!"

Maybe Mr. KCJohnny could serve as a kind of big sister board monitor and review every post and thread before it makes it's way to the Planet. That way, we can be certain that all posts meet his approval and withstand the scrutiny of one whose high posting standards may not be questioned. Of course, that will be the end of threads about movies, women, prayer requests, poetry, and pie, but at least we will be assured that our contributions to the board are no longer offensive.

KCJ has a point.....this is the least discussion about the Chiefs during training camp I've ever seen. There are days that go by without a new article, discussion of injuries, position battles etc....

I don't know, Mr. Iowanian. I've seen a ton of threads on every imaginable subject (except, perhaps, the color and model number of Herm's preferred cup) related to camp and pre-season. At least as much as last year, if not more. Maybe I'm just imagining it, but it sure seems that way to me.

Bengals WR Chad Johnson now has a plan for how he can get away with having "Ocho Cinco" spelled out over the "85″ on his back. Pro Football Talk learned that Johnson has taken the first steps in the state of Florida toward legally changing his last name to Ocho Cinco. Seriously. If Johnson follows through on this, his actual, legal name will be Chad Ocho Cinco, and the NFL would then (we assume) allow him to put his new last name on the back of his jersey. -- Pro Football Talk
