i think my post was misunderstood, but oh well.

On Monday a lady I worked with was killed on her way to work. She bought a scooter to save on gas. She was at a red light it turned green and she started to go and was hit by a car that ran the red light. She was a really special lady.

Really. I always pictured you saying "You won't believe how much sperm a hog can pro.....cack....cack..........gargle........gargle.............uhhhh........"

I honestly don't think people are trying to make you feel worse. They're trying to lighten your mood and have no idea that it's an inappropriate time.

I'm glad you're feeling better, Mr. BuckinKaeding. I've been thinking about this and I thought that it might be a good idea for the company to have some kind of informal memorial service or something at your offices. You know, sandwiches and punch ... maybe some flowers ... a table with some candid photos of this person ... casual ... where people might just mix and remember her ... it might help her friends and co-workers get closure on this deal. The company would be well served to do this, I think.

Not to be crude, but from the company's standpoint, it would communicate to the worker bees that they won't just be forgotten the next day or whatever. Once they die, I mean. Good for morale.
