On the plus side, Herm will be able to tell everyone at the end of the season when a starting QB goes down, you can't help but have losses pile up.

Should be good for at least another season's worth of paychecks from KC for Herm.

That's the most disgusting part.

Riding out the season is the smart move, IMO.

Some vet bandaid wouldn't solve anything. It's time to clean house from top to bottom. And draft whoever the next regime considers a true franchise QB.

If we could get an older vet with starting experience and ability, he could help these kids develope through the rest of the season. Then, when we start a rookie next year, the other players on O are a bit further along in development.

Our O has been greatly simplified according to Herm. A new QB should be able to pick it up without all the homework Favre had to go through in NY.

Like I posted right after you, I think Croyle's injuries will buy Herm another year anyway.

And everyone will ask how a starting QB with no wins would have changed anything.

Because he's on the opposite sideline in a Tennessee uniform.

Good lord, I hope not.

I'm done with Herm. All those Jets fans were 100% right.

EyePod 10-19-2008 01:40 PM

The worst thing is that I bought Herm's BS. I agreed that this wasn't his fault.

WELL **** ME!

Naw, I think everybody knows Printers outplayed the other 3 QB's in camp that season. I could not believe they cut him. He's certainly a better option than Tyler Thigpen, and with his legs theres other things you can do with him. To ask him to go to the practice squad and thing bring in Thigpen who is twice as bad as Printers is just a slap in the face. I would of been throwing shit off of Herms desk when I was told I was being cut in camp.

To be fair, Casey Printers went back to the CFL, where he promptly continued to suck, alienated his teammates, and lost his starting job.

Let's be frank here, the people running this franchise cannot evaluate quarterbacks, have not been able to evaluate quarterbacks in Carl Peterson's 20 years here (outside of DV recommending Trent Green), and will continue to not be able to evaluate and develop QB's. If we choose a QB in round one this year, it'll probably be the one destined to be a bust. Oh, and with Dick Curl as his position coach, good luck...

We did. He was in KC talking with the Chiefs when he got a call from Tennessee on his cell phone. He excused himself and left the Chiefs, headed to the airport and hopped a plane to Tennessee.

I feel bad fro Brodie but we need to move on.

There is no room for Croyle or Thigpen on this team after this week. haurd needs to go after the season, we need to sign a QB this week

That's because of their organizational policy.

If they drafted QB's year in and year out (like Green Bay), they'd have more opportunities to develop and trade said QB's.

Instead, they draft four first day QB's in 25 years and wonder why they can't find a franchise QB.

Insane.

I wish I was smart enough to become a Tennessee fan. Instead, I'm a masochist and I stick with the Chiefs. The scary part is that my roommate is a Zona fan ( and that's become my NFC team). They look good now....
