This is the Chiefs we're talking about. They'll do something brilliant like promote Curtis Modkins.

No, it is not. It's one thing to hire a guy like Sean Payton, who'd been a QB coach and an offensive coordinator for two teams (the Giants & the Cowboys) and has had success at both stops. Garrett hasn't proven anything, other than his offensive juggernaut can collapse at any given moment. And McDaniels has a LONG way to go and much to show before being a HC candidate. |

How about Dan Reeves? Slightly said in jest, but he can build an offense and develop a QB. I'm not sure his hard ass mentality would be welcomed by today's players though.

If the Rams don't keep him I like Jim Hasslet. I know I'm going to get bashed on this one, but he's defensive minded and knows the importance of offense. He's currently 2-0 as the Rams HC.

They'll give him the job. |

Can we make a sticky of all coaches who are likely to get axed this year? Especially HC's that could be taken off the throne and put back onto the coordinator stool?
Examples: Marvin Lewis as a DC. Does he still have it in him? Wade Phillips as DC. Runs a 3-4, probably not for us with current players, but that is up to a new GM/HC to decide. Norv Turner as OC. Could help mentor and prepare a rookie QB for the NFL. Rod Marinelli as DC or D-line coach. Steer clear of him though; comes from the Dungy Bucs line....we know what fruits fall off that tree. I have to run, but I am curious to see how big the list is and how useless most of them might be. Also, other than the bengels and lions, what teams are going to clean house like we should? Rams? |
