This used to be the weekend where homefield advantage was key. But it ain't what it used to be. But one thing I can hang my hat on is that coaches win playoffs. Look no further than last week's games:

Arizona revamped their defense just for the playoffs and shut down a top running game.

Vikings coach makes questionable decisions while the veteran coach beat him for the 8th time out of the last 9.

Tony Dungy proves he's Herm's cousin by losing to an 8-8 team, giving up over 500 yards of offense in the process.

The Miami/Baltimore game featured 2 rookie coaches, and the more dominant team simply won that one.

This week, I'm picking based on coaches first, then intangibles (see Pittsburgh). It just so happens that the best coaches are hosting all the games. Huh.

Jeff Fisher is the best coach in the NFL and that's why he now has the longest tenure. This will be a great game but in the end, Fisher will find a way to beat the rookie coach. Titans 13 Ravens 10 (just like week 5).

Mike Tomlin isn't a rookie but he's close to it. But if you consider how many years he's actually been with the Steelers, he's got some decent tenure. Norv is an anomally. The guy looks like crap all year and then somehow wins in the playoffs. But, this game is in Pittsburgh. And it's playoff time. One of the last remaining home field dominations is currently still in tact. As much as I hate the Steelers, I have to pick 'em. Steelers 20 Chargers 14

John Fox is no slouch and he has his team playing better than earlier in the year. A sign of a guy that knows it's a long-distance race and not a sprint. The game vs the Cardinals was close earlier this season. This one won't be. Panthers 30 Cardinals 17.

In a game between 2 rival teams and coaches, I'm still picking the one that has overcome key injuries to his top RB and WR - Coughlin. Another great matchup this weekend will feature a hot team vs. one that's cooled down coming into the playoffs. But the Eagles string of victories ends this weekend in the Meadowlands. Giants 24 Eagles 17.

San Diego only had 357 Yards of total offense.

My bad. Was counting special teams in there.

Bump reminder. Still a chance to win! 4 points gone but 7 remain.

Winner gets to work with the new GM as apprentice.
