It's funny, there was an almost identical thread earlier today, and the responses to bringing Warner in were positive.

That is the culture of BBs. You never know what the hidden reason is behind someone showing thier ass.

It says I'm a prick. I came to terms with it a long time ago. Or to be more accurate, I have a low tolerance for stupid or mentally lazy people.

If you can give me reasonable answers to why we would want him, or why he would choose to leave a Superbowl team to be a bench warmer for the 3rd worst team in the league, I'll do my best to engage in a normal conversation. But as it stands, it seems like all you did was have a thought pop into your head, and create a thread about it, before actually taking a few seconds to consider the common sense of it.

Yea, I think it would be great to have him as our 2nd string. Maybe we can get Tom Brady to be 3rd string since apparently all it takes is some connection to someone from their prior team to make NFL players make completely idiotic career moves.

Vermeil would not bring in Az Hakim. Pioli doesn't want any Patriots coach or Matt Cassel. Herm Edwards didn't bring in many relevent Jets (except the ones already cut by Mangini like McGraw and Reed)

This is a 100% no.

Vermail did bring Green over from St. Louis. Just sayin'

No. We brought in a guy named Tony Horne with the idea of him returning kicks for us like he did with the Rams. He got cut by the Rams previously, which is why he wasn't relevent.

Same with Chris Thomas, who still makes me angry. Only Thomas actually started a few games for us :doh!:

Actually,Az Hakim did sign with the chiefs but asked to be released 12 hours later.Vermiel granted him his release and I believe he went to Detroit.

Actually it just didn't take anything more than just one word to answer your stupid... stupid question.

Warner needs to more similar season to this past one, stats wise to cement a HOF career. Those number won't happen in K.C's offense. With Fitzgearld and Bouldin those goals are attainable.

Not if he wins this SB he doesn't. HE already has the 2nd highest winning% in the playoffs in NFL history min of 10 games played.

SB's are highly rated in the HOF voting process and if Warner wins he will have played in 3 SB's, winning 2, both wins taking teams that were complete jokes and turned them around into winners. There are only a handful of QB's that have won mult SB's.

Tom Brady
Montana
Staubach
Bradshaw
Starr
Elway
Aikman
Warner (if he wins this one)
Roethlisberger (If he wins this one)

All I can think of off top of my head

Great story IMO. Esp considering he was just a grocery sacker.

100%

FringeNC 01-24-2009 06:31 PM

If we are going to give up on Thigpen, and draft a QB early, it could possibly be a decent for him to be an understudy to Kurt Warner, especially given our ridiculous amount of cap space.

Two problems, though:

1) Kurt Warner wouldn't want to come here.
2) Contrary to most on here, I don't think Thigpen sucks.

Big Chief Homer 01-24-2009 06:37 PM

Kurt Warner is either gonna get the 2 year extention he wants in Arizona or I really Believe he is going to retire. He had already contemplated retiring once this year, when Boldin got hurt.

If he gets that 2 year extention, someone else I think is gonna be looking to get out of there.Leinart has been a good soldier lately but I think that might put him over the edge.

He doesn't suck and people on here would be praising Croyle on how well he's developed had he played as well as Thigpen had.

Though most people on here won't admit it.

KCChiefsMan 01-24-2009 06:40 PM

I'd consider it. If we draft a QB round 1, do we want to plug him in immediately?

One could argue that to come to a conclusion that someone is stupid or mentally lazy after one post is stupid or perhaps mentally lazy in itself. In any event, thanks for telling me how smart you are. Otherwise I may have never known.

If you have low tolerance for stupid what the hell are you doing here? Are you new? Or just making excuses for being weak?
