Understood......and my premise is....you could have Jerry Rice, Otis Taylor and Frank Pitts on the line and all they would be doing is helping the QB up of the ground. I just feel more attention needs to be paid to O-line at all costs.

You can build a competent offensive line without using a bunch of high draft picks, most good teams have done it that way.

A poster (Milkman?) mentioned the outright stupidity of spending so much on Cassel and left the line alone. I don't know if they thought it was worth rehabbing or what, but again, IMHO, this line is devoid of talent.

The offensive line, outside of left tackle, is one of those areas where hard work, mental toughness, and technique are far more valuable than raw talent.

Yep.

Glad Wade is here .. yea the O-line needs lots of help .. but you can't just shit good O-linemen ...

I'm glad to have Wade, but our WRs weren't bad last week. Bradley was actually quite good. Bowe could've been better, but he wasn't out there dropping a bunch of balls either.

I don't mind the signing, unless it somehow prevents us from getting a viable O-line option.

Bradley made a couple of fairly costly mental errors, but I'm guessing he won't make them again any time soon...

And signing Wade isn't going to affect our ability to acquire o-linemen in the slightest.

Oh, I agree, which is why I said I'm fine with the signing.

I can't come up with any reason why it would stop us from upgrading the O-line, so I give the acquisition a 'meh' rating. That's a hell of a lot better than "Dammit Scott!"

Wade at the very least is going to be a good fourth receiver. I think he's way better than Copper or Lawrence. And if Engram gets hurt, Wade slips into that slot receiver role quite well. Hell, Wade might end up being an upgrade over Engram.

As "bad" as our receivers are, none of them dropped a pass Sunday. Pretty encouraging.

Just because the Wrs did not drop any passes does not mean they did a good job getting open

Agree, rounds 3-6 next year need to be all OL... Shit for the next 2 years we need to draft lots of 3-5/6 round OL.

Runyan's available and Philadelphia has said they will likely not sign him.

Pioli should have signed Pashos, and not let him get away to SF. No use trying to save a buck or two on the offer, Pashos was the only legitimate RT able to start on day one, potentially.

Damn straight, Boog. We're in a pass-heavy era of the NFL right now, and pass blocking Linemen don't grow on trees.
And we're at the bottom of the ****ing barrel to top it all off. What little premier, signable talent that may exist has been snatched already or doesn't want to come here.

Just stop already with signing receivers.

Why? The OL sucks so ignore other weak as hell positions?

Bradley was a bonehead...TWICE, but that 50 yard bomb was a hell of a pass and catch in tight coverage.

Bowe was drawing ALL the coverage, so I'm not as concerned.

Also, it should be noted that even though no one likes him Engram came up with a huge 3rd down catch.
