Seriously... were those 8 legit votes for Denver? I would rank them last on the list...

TEX 10-06-2009 08:11 AM

1. Saints
2. Vikings
3. Giants
4. Colts

5. Broncos

Not a large gap between the top 4, but there is a big drop off between them and the Broncos. I will say that I am most surprised that the Broncos and the Colts are 4-0.

If Denver can play well this week and find a way to defeat NE... I'll be happily surprised and much more convinced that they are greatly improved.

Saints
Vikings
Colts
Giants
Broncos.

I think the Saints have had the toughest schedule so far.

Their defense is greatly improved. As long as you have a good defense, which they do, you will be in most every game. As long as the QB "manages" the game, rather than try to win it, they will be in every one of them.

Yeah, those are the two keys... and it may have been just for one game, but maybe... just maybe McDaniels has been successful in breaking the will of the pouting Brandon Marshall. I read somewhere that Brandon went to Stokely recently and asked him "what do I need to do to be great".... maybe he has been humbled by all of this, I dunno - I hope that's the case and that he is focused on being the phenom that we know he can be. It would be huge for that offense if Orton/Marshall can continue to build their bond... opens things up for the ground game, Royal, the TEs and Gaffney.

Again, it may have only been for 1 moment in 1 game... but, there's a chance it's happened. We'll find out a lot about the grit of this team and their soul during the next month of games.

There's no question it's Minnesota. The Vikings have no weaknesses.
